Since the downtown redevelopment plan was approved in 2015, we've had: 8+ years of construction and 21 new buildings completed (with 10 more under construction / already approved, and 8 more under review). What do the residents have to show for it? No new downtown green spaces + playgrounds MORE empty storefronts LESS parking Overburdened infrastructure Loss of historic buildings and unique character The redevelopment plan is not working to deliver on it's promise of an "economically vibrant", "pedestrian friendly," "exceptional downtown experience," and there is growing discontent because of that.
