Diabetes and Cholesterol Screening Community Interest Form
Noor Community Health, a UC Davis undergraduate-led community health initiative, will host a free diabetes and cholesterol screening on Saturday, March 14 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Life Pointe Church in Woodland, CA. Everyone ages 18+ is welcome to attend and will receive free medical services such as: Diabetes/prediabetes screening (HbA1c testing) Cholesterol screening (lipid panel testing) Blood Pressure Check BMI Check Dr. Patel, a physician from UC Davis Health, will be present to review results with attendees and answer questions about overall health, lifestyle changes, and next steps if needed. Noor Community Health is a student-led, community-rooted health initiative working to expand access to culturally responsive health education and basic screenings for underserved communities, particularly South Asian families in rural areas of Woodland, California. Our work focuses on prevention, early awareness, and connecting community members to care, while training the next generation of compassionate, socially conscious healthcare leaders. Guided by values of cultural humility, service, and community partnership, Noor strives to build trust and reduce barriers to healthcare through education, outreach, and collaboration.
