When We Come Together is an interactive light installation that turns human movement into waves of colour and light across a MicroTile wall. The project is inspired by the teachings of the Thirteen Grandmother Moons and explores reconciliation as a continuous process that grows through reflection, cooperation, and gratitude. The installation uses an Azure Kinect sensor to track how visitors move and interact in the space. Different gestures and group sizes create different light responses, showing how individual actions can connect and grow into a shared experience. The visuals are inspired by Stratford’s four seasons, using calm and glowing colours that move from winter blues, to spring greens, summer pinks, and fall ambers. These gentle gradients and soft lighting create a peaceful atmosphere that encourages people to slow down and reflect.
