The Passion of Kelly Gissendaner

This week my class is reading The Passion of Perpetua and Felicity, so we are talking about what martyrdom means.  It doesn’t simply mean that one was killed for faith, but that they were a witness.  They testify that God became a human being and rose from the dead.  They testify that there is more to this world than meets the eye, that death is never the last word, and that transformation is possible.
