Budding Blooms

Hi there my crafty friends!  This beauty is the Budding Blooms die and it is a stunner, don't you think!  This set is especially beautiful when using the paper piecing technique as I have done here.  It is also really easy for making quick cards but that stand out as having taken a lot of time.  Your recipient will never know the truth!  If this set floats your boat, then go ahead and add your comment to this post.  That's it for day one, but we have a full day tomorrow starting at 6am right here.  All for now, Sue x

Butterfly Cluster

Hi crafters!  We are dedicating this post to the Butterfly Cluster.  This is one of my personal favs because it is just so versatile.  You can decorate this die in any colour you desire and it looks amazing.  We have two different styles of flowers along with three butterflies to add a bit of whimsy to it.  Again, there is hardly any occasion that this die set doesn't work for, it is just so versatile. If you need help adding your comment, the directions are on the right hand side of the blog.  Pop your comment on the bottom of this post and your name will be included in the drawing to win this entire collection. We have one more die today to share with you today and it will be along during the 6pm timeslot.  All for now, Sue x

Easter Wishes

Hello crafters!  I have another slimline card to share with you today.  I started by cutting the Slimline Decorative Rectangle Aperture Trio in white.  I added mounting foam to the back of it then attached a piece of arctic blue card.  Using dies from the Easter Essentials die set, I cut the bunny out of blush card and added a couple of carrots.  I used Fluffy Stuff for his tail and heated it to puff it up then added them to the top box.  I also put the Easter part of the sentiment at the top cut in raspberry card.  In the middle box, I cut the chick out of custard card and inked the top of his head with spiced marmalade.  I cut the basket and filled it with eggs.  The second part of the sentiment, the word Wishes, was added to the square as well.  In the bottom box, I cut the other bunny out of blush card and added an easter egg for him to hold.  I cut several more eggs in various colours and added them around the bunny and a little bee in the top corner.  Using the Slimline Stitched Rectangle Frames, I cut a white frame and added it with mounting foam.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 4 3/4"  x  9"  in size.

Just to let everyone know that tomorrow morning I will be releasing my April die release and you are all invited to the launch.  It starts here at 6am.  Hope to see you then! All for now, Sue x

Will You Be My Valentine

Hi crafters!  I am sharing a pretty buckle card with you today.  I started by cutting a long strip of white card and embossing it with the Quilted Hearts embossing folder.  I needed it to be extended and this folder lines up easily to do so. Next I cut the Heart Wreath die three times out of red card and two times out of white card. I brought the white hearts up through the red cards as I wove the strip of white card through them.  I turned it over and taped everything in place from the back.  I added mounting foam to it and attached it to the embossed background.  I cut the sentiment from the Be My Valentine Wordie sheets and added it the bottom of the card.  I used several of the fall away hearts around the sentiment as accents.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 5 1/4"  x  11 1/2"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Easter

Hello crafters!  I started with a piece of white card and used Picked Raspberry distress ink and used a smoothie to work the colour from the edge towards the centre of the card, leaving a lighter area for the egg. I then used the Elemental Swirl stamp and inked it with Black Archival ink and worked my way all the way around the card with the swirls.  Next I cut the Stained Glass Tulip Egg outer die from black gloss card.  I cut the inside egg part of the die in black card.  I coloured the egg with markers but used a soft white pencil in each section to give highlights.  I cut the Happy Easter sentiment in black and added it to a white shadow backing piece, then attached it below the egg.  The card was completed with white and black mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 8" x 8"  in size.  All for now. Sue x

Gone Fishing

Hello bloggers!  I started by cutting the Wood Plank Background out of milk card.  I used Gathered Twigs distress ink around the edges of it.  Next I cut the Fishing Vest die out of khaki green card twice.  I used the second die cut to nip away the pockets and add them to the other die cut.  In the pockets, I added some lures that were cut from the Fishing Essentials die set.  I cut the Fishing Frame and nipped away the fishing rod, the larger cattails and the Gone Fishing sign from it.  I added the canoe at the bottom of the card and inked around the edges with Gathered Twigs too.  I added the Gone Fishing sign in the top corner after inking the edges of it as well.  I used a black marker to fill in the words and add the lines on the sign.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/4"  x  7 1/4"  in size.  All for now, Sue x

Easter Wishes

Hello there my crafty friends!  It's time for another clean and simple card.  I started by embossing a piece of white card using the Quilted Heart embossing folder.  Next I cut a wide strip of white card and matted it with a piece of black card.  I added it to the top are of the embossed background.  Using the hopping bunny from Easter Friends die set, I cut the die five times out of various pastel colours.  I used wisteria, custard, aqua, sherbet and iris card to cut the bunnies. I arranged the bunnies to look like they are jumping across the card and glued them into place.  I used a fine tipped marker to add in their eyes.  As accents, I added a few of the dew drops around them.  I cut the Easter Wishes sentiment in black from the Easter Essential die set and glued it to the lower part of the card.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 3/4"  x  7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x

Happy Easter

Hi there my crafty friends!  For today's card, I began by cutting the Easter Egg die set in white, then I proceeded to add different backing colours to each of the eggs.  I used raspberry, ocean, lilac, teal and amethyst card for the backing colours.  I arranged the eggs on a piece of Arctic Blue card and added some grass which I cut from the Snowflake Edger die.  Using the Double Stitched Rectangle dies, I cut a wide frame out of white card.  I added it over the scene with mounting foam.  I cut the Chocolate Bunny die out of blush card.  I added a purple ribbon and used a fine tipped black marker for the detail on the face and body.  I added a puffy tail using Fluffy Stuff then heated it t make it puff.  I added the bunny to the frame with mounting foam.  I cut the Happy Easter sentiment out of amethyst card and glued it to a white shadow backing piece.  The sentiment was added to the inside of the frame.  The card was completed with white mats and layers.  The finished dimensions are 6 1/2"  x 7 3/4" in size.  All for now, Sue x
