A Joyful Celebration ~

He is risen,
glory hallelujah
He has risen
triumphant alleluia.

He is alive,
blissful elation
He is alive
joyful celebration.

He is risen,
peaceful expectation
He has risen
eternal transformation.

He is here,
cheerful jubilation
He is here
hopeful affirmation.

Jesus is risen,
just like He had said
Jesus is alive
no longer is He dead!

remember how he spake unto you

A Man of Sorrows ~

A Man of sorrows,
rejected and despised
unloved, unwanted
loathed and chastised.

A Man of our sufferings,
acquainted with affliction
grief, pain, anguish
trials and conviction.

A Man of our rebuke,
mournful and isolated
dejected, forgotten, beaten
set apart and terminated.

A Man of our diseases,
illnesses and sickness
maladies, disorders, decay
rebellion and brokenness.

A Man of sorrows,
sufferings and deceptions
A Man called Jesus . . .
died for our transgressions!

~~~~~~~~~~
Isaiah 53.3-5
He is despised and rejected of men;
a man of sorrows,
and acquainted with grief:
and we hid as it were our faces
from him; he was despised, and we
esteemed him not.
Surely he hath borne our griefs,
and carried our sorrows:
yet we did esteem
him stricken, smitten of God,
and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our
transgressions,
he was bruised for our iniquities:
The chastisement of our
peace was upon him;
and with his stripes
we are healed”
All Because of Jesus ~
Because of Jesus,
I have God’s peace within
all because of Him . . .
I’m forgiven for my sin.
Because of Jesus
I am no longer guilty
all because of Him . . .
death isn’t my penalty.
Because of Jesus,
I have everlasting life
all because of Him . . .
I’ll not face eternal strife.
Because of Jesus,
my life has purpose
all because of Him . . .
I’m no longer worthless.
Because of Jesus,
all things are made new
all because of Him . . .
I’ve heaven in my view!
God’s Love For You ~
You are precious to God,
to Him you are prized
His love for you . .
cannot be compromised.
You are valuable to Him,
worth more than gold
His love for you . . .
is yours to behold.
You are important to Him,
in His sight you are dear
His love for you . . .
is genuine and sincere.
You are unique to Him,
you are awesomely made
His love for you . . .
will never cease or fade.
You are precious to God,
you are His truly beloved
to Him you are a treasure
for you’re eternally loved!
Nothing I Can Do ~
There is nothing I can do,
no magic door to enter in
if I want to get to heaven
there’s no lottery I can win.
There’s nothing I can do,
no purchase to make my way
for there isn’t enough money
to compensate for my stay.
There is nothing I can do,
to reserve a room for me
none of my works on earth
comes with such a guarantee.
There is nothing I can do,
to enter into God’s kingdom
no way for me to earn
the access or the freedom.
There is nothing I can do,
for Jesus paid the full price
I believe He became for me . . .
the one and only sacrifice!
Jesus Died For You and Me ~
Jesus died for you,
He too died for me
He died for the whole world
so our need for Him we’d see.
He died for the sinful,
the hardened, the hopeless
He died so that we’d see
without Him we’re helpless.
He died for the inmoral,
the wicked, the guilty
He died so that we’d see
without Him we are filthy.
He died for the sorrowful,
the thirsty, the meek
He died so that we’d see
without Him we are weak.
He died for the troubled,
the distressed, the weary
He died so that we’d see
without Him we are needy.
Jesus died for the lost,
He died for the unsaved
He died so we’d see how much . . .
without Him we’re depraved!
Risen ~
He has risen . . .
sweet heavenly music from above
He has risen . . .
the epiphany of God’s true love.
For, His beloved Son,
died for you and me
so from the fiery pit
He could set us free.
He has risen . . .
hallelujah the angels sing
He has risen . . .
eternal life to man He brings.
For, Jesus is alive,
resurrected and living
in our lives
His Spirit is breathing.
He has risen . . .
the Lamb of God from above
He has risen . . .
with peace and eternal love!
~~~~~~~~

Matthew 28:5-6

“And the angel answered
and said unto the women,

Fear not ye: for I know
that ye seek Jesus,

which was crucified.
He is not here:

for he is risen,
as he said.
Come, see the place
where the Lord lay.”

Jesus My Redeemer ~

Jesus my Redeemer,
my Savor, my Lord
when my thoughts are on You
I never get bored.

For, you are the reason,
I live for each day
as You lead and guide me
to the Truth and the Way.

Jesus My redeemer,
my King and my Friend
I will stick by You
until the very end.

For You are the hope,
to which I daily cling . . .
as I wait for the new things
soon that You will bring.

Jesus, my Redeemer,
my salvation is in You
for I know there’s nothing
for my redemption I can do!

A Love Story Like No Other ~

A love story not written,
with ink from a pen . . .
but dripping with blood
to release us all from sin.

The scarlet threads of love,
woven throughout history
reveals to all the world
salvation’s true mystery.

This design of redemption,
was always in God’s plan
it was the only way to show
His mercy to all of man.

For, God knew our souls,
needed true deliverance
so His sent His Son, Jesus
to atone for our ignorance.

Grace mixed with blood,
the day those nails were driven
making the death of Jesus . . .
the best love story ever written!

Washed Of Your Sins ~

Forgiveness divine,
repent and believe
the power of grace
you will receive.

Washed of your sins,
gone is the shame
when you trust Jesus
nothing is the same.

Bathe in His mercy,
soak up His fullness
plunge yourself into
all of His goodness.

Healing compassion,
immersion of love
the blood of our Savior
God’s gift from above.

Forgiveness divine,
today is the day . . .
God’s mercy and grace
are just one prayer away!

Our Risen King ~

Today we celebrate,
our risen King
the new life to us
that He brings.

A life of hope,
gloriously eternal
a life saved
from hell’s infernal.

Today we rejoice,
for a Savior risen
freeing us from
a sinner’s prison.

A freedom from,
works without grace
a liberty of faith
for us to embrace.

Today we celebrate,
Jesus’ resurrection
the triumphed climax
to His crucifixion!

Thank God It’s Good Friday ~

I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
I’m so grateful
for this one day.

For my Savior,
endured for me
the pain, the shame
to set me free.

I thank God,
for Jesus dying breath
for it saved me
from eternal death.

For my sins,
on the cross He bore
so I could have life
with Him forever more.

I thank God,
it’s Good Friday
for Jesus is to Him . . .
the only pathway!

I’ve Been Redeemed ~

I have been redeemed
not with silver or gold
but with a lively hope
taking on my heart a hold.

I had nothing to give,
only my faith in His grace
for Jesus took upon Himself
the penalty in my place.

I have been redeemed,
no longer am I culpable
all because Jesus saw . . .
me as being lovable.

It’s a one time payment,
Jesus made for me
for only by His blood
was I able to be set free.

I have been redeemed,
Jesus my sins bought
for the lamb of God . . .
willingly took my spot!

~~~~~~~~
1 Peter 1:18-19
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were
not redeemed with corruptible things,
as silver and gold, from your vain
conversation received by tradition
from your fathers;
But with the precious blood of Christ,
as of a lamb without blemish
and without spot:
Power In The Resurrection ~
There is power,
in the resurrection
to the world ways
a disconnection.
There is victory,
arising from the dead
a message of hope
not of fear or dread.
There is salvation,
full of love and grace
not of defeat
when Jesus we embrace.
There is eternal rest,
everlasting life
one filled with peace
not of worldly strife.
There is forgiveness,
rising from the grave
there is a restoration
as Jesus’ life He gave!
New Life ~
I see new life,
I see it springing
I can hear the song
it is singing.
Song’s of salvation,
coming alive
with words that restore
heal and revive.
I see new life,
I see it growing
I can attest
rebirth it’s bringing.
Former things no more,
now from death to life
gone is the old
no more eternal strife.
Upon Calvary’s cross,
a new life I see . . .
all because Jesus
died for you and for me!
Today’s The Day ~
Today Father,
is a brand new one
a time to be glad
for Your living Son.
A day to rejoice,
for all things new
a day to give . . .
my praise to You.
Today Father,
You have made
for me to remember
the price Jesus paid.
A day to reflect,
on His love and grace
a time before Him
my sin I need to face.
Today Father,
is the day Jesus rose
oh, how glad I am . . .
my heart He knows!
Happy RESURRECTION Day
Jesus Came Back ~
Jesus came back,
as He said He would
He said He’d return
and there He stood.
With eyes open wide,
they watched in dismay
for only three days ago
He had gone away.
Jesus appeared again,
as if out of the blue
telling them I promised
I would come back to you.
With mouths agape,
they became afraid
for there Jesus was
resurrected and raised.
Jesus came back once,
He will come once more . . .
just like He assured
He would do before!
~~~~~~~~

Mark 16:5-7

And entering into the sepulchre,
they saw a young man sitting on
the right side, clothed in a long
white garment; and they were affrighted.

And he saith unto them, Be not affrighted:
Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was
crucified: he is risen; he is not here:
behold the place where they laid him
.

But go your way, tell his disciples
and Peter that he goeth before you
into Galilee: there shall ye see him,
as he said unto you.

Forsaken Cries ~

Lord, I can envision,
the compassion in Your eyes
I can hear You calling . . .
out Your forsaken cries.

I can picture the thorns,
wrapped around Your head
I can see my sin
for which You died and bled.

Lord, I can visualize,
the angry crowd yelling
crucify, crucify Him . . .
amidst tempers swelling.

But, I can only fathom,
Your suffering and agony
as Your love for the world
was displayed at Cavalry.

Lord, I cannot describe,
how You felt that day . . .
but, I know to Your Father
You are the only Way!

~~~~~~~~
Matthew 27:46
And about the ninth hour Jesus
cried with a loud voice, saying,
Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?
that is to say, My God, my God,
why hast thou forsaken me?
Jesus Came To Free Us ~
Jesus came to free us,
free us from all fear
He came with a promise . . .
to be always to us near.
He came to liberate us,
liberate us from our debt
He came with a promise . . .
to give us a new mindset.
Jesus came to free us,
free us from all sin
He came with a promise . . .
there is a crown to win.
He came to deliver us,
deliver us from our shame
He came with a promise . . .
we won’t suffer any blame.
Jesus came to free us,
to deliver and liberate
He came with a promise . . .
to give us a clean slate!
The Light of Salvation~
My eyes have seen,
salvation’s Light
they have been given
a new glorious sight.
For once they were closed,
to the Truth and the Way
but now they observe
God’s mercy each day.
My eyes were shown,
Jesus’ Love and Grace
they have seen the light
now the Life they embrace.
For once they were shut,
but now they clearly see
the promise of peace
God has awaiting for me.
My eyes have observed,
the Light of salvation
and now they hold hope
in Christ’s resurrection!
Are You Ready To Go ~
Are you ready to go,
with Jesus to the Cross
are you ready . . .
for that bridge to cross?
Are you ready to go,
and repent and confess
are you ready . . .
to be eternally blessed?
Are you ready to go,
deep within your heart
are you ready . . .
for a new life to start?
Are you ready to go,
into the depth of your soul
are you ready . . .
for Jesus to make you whole?
Are you ready to go,
can this bridge you get across
are you ready to be saved . . .
by the power of the Cross?
My Redeemer Is Alive ~
My Redeemer lives,
He is alive and well
for in my heart . . .
His Spirit now dwells.
He loves me with,
such a deep affection
His death the epitome
of mercy’s perfection.
My Redeemer lives,
my faith in Him I place
He gave His life for mine
saved me with His grace.
His joy is everlasting,
it is mine now to claim
for He forgives my sin
when I call on His name.
My Redeemer lives,
He is alive in me today . . .
to His Father in Heaven
He is the true pathway!
#throwbackpoem ~ Thank You For the Cross ~
Father, thank You for the Cross,
for all Jesus did for me
thank You for opening my eyes
so my fallen state I could see.
Thank You for Your mercy,
the scourging of my sin
thank You for opening my ears
to Your voice deep within.
Thank You for Your grace,
the thorns of righteousness
thank You for opening my mouth
so my evil ways I could confess.
Thank You for Your love,
the lashings of my shame
thank You for opening my heart
so I may call upon Your name.
Thank You for the sacrificial blood,
that poured out from Your Son . . .
thank You for the gift of salvation
for my soul, Christ has won!
A Song Of Deliverance ~
Everyone needs a song,
of deliverance . . .
everyone needs Jesus
to make a difference.
Everyone needs a victory,
over the enemy
everyone needs a fortress
that is heavenly.
Everyone needs a defense,
a rock to cling on
everyone needs Jesus
to depend upon.
Everyone needs a tower,
they can run into
everyone needs a trust
that they can pursue.
Everyone needs a song,
of their redemption. . .
everyone needs Jesus
for their salvation!
~~~~~

I will trust, and not be afraid:

I will love thee, O Lord,
my strength.

The Lord is my rock,

in whom I will trust;

and the horn of my salvation,
and my high tower.

I’ve Been Redeemed~

I’ve been liberated,
Jesus has set me free
He paid the penalty
the day He died for me.

I’ve been redeemed,
Jesus paid the ransom
to make room for me
in His Father’s mansion.

I’ve been rescued,
Jesus has delivered me
He paid the price
there upon Calvary’s tree.

I’ve been saved,
Jesus bought my freedom
one day with Him I’ll reside
in His Father’s kingdom.

I’ve been redeemed,
Jesus paid the deficit
so the hope of my salvation . . .
would be sure and definite!

~~~~~~~~~~
1 Peter 1:3-5
Blessed be the God and Father
of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant
mercy hath begotten us again
unto a lively hope by the
resurrection of Jesus Christ
from the dead,
To an inheritance incorruptible,
and undefiled, and that fadeth
not away, reserved in heaven for you,
Who are kept by the power of God
through faith unto salvation ready
to be revealed in the last time.
Beyond The Cross ~
Beyond the cross,
there’s a glorious view
for in Jesus’ death . . .
all things are made new.
New beginnings,
fresh clean starts
eternal hope
to fill our hearts.
Beyond the cross,
there is new life
the end to sin
and worldly strife.
No more battles,
no more struggles
no more satan
causing troubles.
Beyond the cross,
there are no fears
no death, no pain
and no more tears.
Despair will end,
suffering will cease
there will only be
everlasting peace.
Beyond the cross,
hope springs anew
all because Jesus . . .
died for me and you!
~~~~~~~~~

Hebrews 12:2

It Is Finished ~

“It is finished”
words of agony from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished
no greater love will again eclipse.

“It is finished”
these words aloud Jesus said
and for the sins of everyone
His soul hemorrhaged and bled.

“It is finished”
but, what really had just begun
was that grace and forgiveness
were freely given by God’s Son.

“It is finished”
but, for you it can be a new start
if you repent now of your sin
and give Jesus your whole heart.

“It is finished”
Jesus died so that you’d be free
if you let His death at Calvary
take you down to your knees.

“It is finished”
but, it’s not the end of the story
not until the day all of mankind
bows before God in all His glory.

“It is finished”
words of hope from Jesus’ lips
“It is finished”
don’t let His love for you eclipse!

It Started With Just One Nail ~

One nail was all it took,
to crucify Christ that day
it started with just one nail
for the crowd to get their way.

One blow upon that nail,
got the crowd to cheer and yell
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
put the hammer to that nail.

One nail was all it took,
for them to secure His fate
one large, iron nail became
the spike of their distaste.

One bang upon that nail,
their voices swelled and soared
“Crucify Him, Crucify Him”
as they began to nail the Lord.

One nail was all it took,
though they used all three
but, it started with that one nail
so all sinners could go free.

All it took was that first nail,
for the crowd to be satisfied
just one strike upon that nail . . .
and our Savior they crucified!

~~~~~~~
Mark 15:13-14
