I can do nothing without Christ,
even though He knows I try
for when I try on my own . . .
my fruit so often turns dry.
I may think I can do it,
for my plans seem so right
but, without His assistance . . .
they lack the salt and the light.
There’s not one thing I can do,
that will last or succeed . . .
for without His directions
there is no way to precede.
I may tell myself I don’t need,
any guidance or any aide
but, without Jesus helping me
my fruit just begins to fade.
I can do nothing without Christ,
but, when to His will I resign
I can harvest all of the fruit
right off His one True Vine!

Lord, give me faith unshakable,
so I may walk faithfully
give me hope unfaltering
so I may tread gracefully.
Give me faith unwavering,
so I may remain steadfast
give me strength astounding
so temptation I may outlast.
Give me faith unquestionable,
so I may remain true
give me trust unflinching
so I’ll stay close to You.

so I may trust in eternity

A time for patience,
and for some rest
a time to let God do . . .
what He knows is best.
A time for His Spirit,
to lead from above
a time to linger . . .
and abide in His love.
A time for endurance,
to run the good race
a time to stop running
and abound in His grace.
A time for calmness,
when composure is gone
a time to discover
how to be closer drawn.
A time to be quiet,
to sit and be still
a time to actively seek
what is God’s perfect will.
A time for silence,
of both mind and heart
a time for God only . . .
nothing keeping us apart.
A time to lie down,
in pastures green
a time to be protected
under His almighty wing.
A time to know and believe,
He’ll never leave or forsake
a time for God . . .
we all need to make!

Lord, keep me steadfast,
in my pursuit to abide in Thee
keep my heart faithful
so Your love will dwell in me.
Lord, keep me patient,
in my quest to walk like Thee
keep my feet established
so Your Spirit can lead me.
Lord, keep me faithful,
in my search to become like Thee
keep my branches trimmed
so Your fruit will mature in me.

in my endeavor to follow Thee

so Your peace will be seen in me.

Faith that encourages,
faith that inspires
is a faith in God
that for Him is on fire.
Faith that is calm,
faith that is still
is a faith in God
that seeks His will.
Faith that is small,
faith that is great
is a faith in God
that never abates.

faith that is meek

If we are to remain,
abiding on the Vine
our life’s with Jesus
must intertwine.
If we are to abide,
in Jesus each day
we must be willing
to trust and obey.
If we are to stay,
connected to Him
we must allow Jesus
our branches to trim.
If we are to produce,
for Jesus good fruit
we must daily give
our ego’s a boot.
If we are to remain,
obey, produce and stay
then we must abide . . .
in His Word everyday.

More than we can understand,
more than we can conceive
is what God can do for those
who trust in Him and believe.
More than we can ever think,
more than we can ever dare
is what God can do for those
who give Him, their every care.

A time for patience,
and for some rest
a time to let God . . .
do what is best.
A time for endurance,
to run the good race
a time to stop running
and abound in His grace.
A time for serenity,
in the midst of the buzz
a time to find harmony
as God always does.
A time to listen,
and to be still
a time to wait
for His perfect will.
A time for calmness,
when composure is gone
a time for quietness
and to God, be drawn.
A time to trust,
without any fear
a time for the Lord
to bring us near.
A time for the Spirit,
to lead from above

I shall not want,
and yet I do . . .
for Jesus I want
more of You.
I have this need,
to know You more
that really is all
I am asking for.

for I can find You
