times to hear what He’s to say
times of desperation and lack
times to turn to God back

Lord if there be in me,
any lingering unbelief
help me to overcome . . .
the cause of my disbelief.
Take away any doubt,
and all the hesitation
so that I may trust You
without any reservation.
Lord if there be in me,
any looming skepticism
help me to overcome . . .
the reason for my pessimism.
Take away any trepidation,
and all of my uneasiness
so I may approach You
without any wariness.

any residual doubtfulness
may I overcome it by . . .

Whenever I am afraid,
and fear comes my way
I stop what I am doing
and to Jesus I pray.
For, I don’t want my fears,
to take away my calm
so I cast all my worries
right into His open palm.
Whenever I am frightened,
scared or panic-stricken
I go straight to the Lord
before by fear I’m sickened.
For, I don’t want my fears,
to influence my serenity
for it is in my Savior . . .
that I find true tranquility.
Whenever I am afraid,
and fear comes my way
I put my trust in Jesus . . .
to take my dread away!

Father, I give you my burdens,
take with them my worries too
give to me Your assurance
as I give my troubles to You.
You know my every care,
each anxious beat of my heart
give to me Your perfect peace
so my fears can’t even start.
Father, You promised me hope,
in the things I can’t see
the power of Your Spirit
to dwell inside of me.
You know my every thought,
whenever I am afraid
give me the confidence
not to be alarmed or dismayed.
Father, I give You all my cares,
my fears and trepidation . . .

There’s not a hunger,
that Jesus can’t satisfy
there’s not a thirst
that He won’t gratify.
There’s not a pain,
that Jesus can’t heal
there’s not a void
that He won’t fill.
There’s not a burden,

God knows you,
each and every hair
and all your burdens
He wants to bear.
God sees you,
nothing is obscure
He wants to keep you
in Him safe and secure.

waits for you each day
to give you His peace
when to Him you pray.

you are never alone
His strength for you

I use to wonder,
if God heard my prayers
when I was over burdened
by the weight of my cares.
Amid all the clamor,
and the uproars of this life
I wondered if He listened
to the prayers of my strife.
At night I’d lay in my bed,
I would cry myself to sleep
unsure if He still received
the prayers of His sheep.
As prayers went unanswered,
on my own I would think
why would God leave me
all alone here on the brink.
But, now when God is silent,
I know it’s because He’s just
and He is still teaching me
how to trust, trust, trust!

Jesus never changes,
He remains true . . .
He will always stick
right next to you.
You may wander,
but, He never will
you may be anxious
but, He remains still.
Jesus never changes,
throughout all the years
He never falters
modifies or veers.
You may be doubtful,
but, He always sure
you may be hopeless

When not sure of what to do,
and God hasn’t answered you
when you’re feeling down and out
and you’re full of fear and doubt.
That’s the time you need to look,
for His promises in the Good Book
you’ll find the remedy for your needs
when to His Word your spirit heeds.
When you’re troubles take over you,
and worry surrounds all you do
when you’re down and feeling sad
and your anxieties mount and add.
That’s the time you need to pray,
asking the Lord to lead the way
He will show you where to go
and His directions you will know.
When you need answered prayer,
be still as you wait to hear
for God promises with His eye
to make for you the way clear!

I’ve been through water’s troubling,
in the turbulence of my mind
I’ve been tossed and shaken
by thoughts of every kind.
I’ve been blown all around,
in this whirlwind called life . . .
I’ve been in many storms
leaving me full of strife.
I’ve been through tumultuous times,
that were lengthy and prolonged
I’ve been through mind twisters
where anxious thoughts spawned.
I’ve been in deep dark waters,
with no sure way to get out
I’ve been in Satan’s cesspool
filled with dread, fear and doubt.

but, Jesus has been the bridge
guarding my heart and mind!

Some scatter seeds of anxiety,
and harvest nothing but fear
some collect in their memory
the reason for all their tears.
Some spread seeds of distrust,
and collect grains of doubt
some gather up their losses
shutting all their blessings out.
Some cast seeds of excess,
and reap in what they sow
some collect worldly pleasures
thinking God will never know.
Some throw seeds of greed,
and collect envy and pride
some lose their hope and faith
when their will with God’s collide.
Some scatter seeds of doubt,
and harvest nothing but fear
but those who mock not God
sow the seeds of repentant tears!

Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
to truly love one and all . . .
to forgive those who stumble
and lift up the ones who fall.
Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d see others deepest need
I’d minister to their lost souls
and to a faith in Him I’d lead.
Oh, to have the life of Christ,
to see all in His saving light
to unite the contrite heart
and give to all eternal sight.
Then I’d have the mind of Jesus,
I’d take His Word across the land
I’d lead the lost to His Kingdom
deliver the unsaved into His hand.
Oh, to have the heart of Christ,
beating deep inside me . . .
would be to think just like Jesus
oh, how wonderful that would be!

If the Lord is our Shepherd,
why then do we still want?
If He supplies all our needs,
why do our lacks still taunt?
If besides still waters He leads,
why then do we still fear?
If He fills us with quietness,
why don’t we hold Him near?
If green pastures bring peace,
why then are we still stressed?
If He leaves us not lacking,
why don’t we feel blessed?
If He restores our souls,
why then do we still doubt?
If He satisfies our deep thirst,
why is their still a drought?
If in righteousness He guides,
why then do we still wander?
If the Lord is truly our Shepherd,
we needn’t these things ponder!

Increase the measure Lord,
of our faith and trust
give daily more of it
to each one of us.
For as we are being,
constantly refined
we’ll need more faith
to be assigned.
Increase the measure Lord,
of our hope and peace
into our hearts and minds
more of it release.
For as we go through,
all the test and trials
we’ll need more trust
to go those extra miles.
Increase the measure Lord,
of our belief in You . . . .
give us more faith and trust
for the things You can do!

When you’re feeling down,
and you need a lift
just pick up your Bible
and give yourself a gift.
For inside you’ll find,
God’s promises galore
for you to find and claim
when His Word you explore.
When you’re feeling anxious,
remember this one thing
since God is on our side
what good will worry bring.
For He is our God of peace,
who showers us from above
the gentleness of His mercy
in the tenderness of His love.
When you’re feeling discouraged,
and deep waters begin to flow
cast your cares upon Him
then watch His blessings grow.
For He is your Rock and Anchor,
He will never let you down
He will turn those deep rivers
into dry and solid ground.
All the assurance you need,
is written in the Good Book
but you’ll have to pick it up
and take for yourself a look!

Stop what you’re doing,
I want you to be awed
be still and know
that I am your God.
Quit trying,
let Me take care of you
quit stumbling

If you live by faith,
you’ll not have doubt
that everything God
has all figured out.
For you understand,
He is omnipotent
and all that He does
is divinely significant.
If you live by faith,
in God you do trust
you know He’s always
holy, fair and just.
For you believe,
He is omniscient
and you recognize
He’s always consistent.
If you live by faith,
God you will not doubt
for you know He knows
how things will work out!

Sometimes we don’t feel,
we are worthy of . . .
God’s mercy and favor
let alone His gift of love.
But, that is just a lie,
satan likes to tell . . .
for he wants to drag us
straight with him into hell.
Sometimes we don’t feel,
we are deserving of . . .
Jesus’ saving grace
let alone His undying love.
But, that is just the devil,
trying to get into us . . .
for, he is out to destroy
in God our faith and trust.
Sometimes satan will,
unsettle us with worry
but, we must believe . . .
to God we are worthy!

Harden not your heart,
to your spiritual condition
let it not turn cold
by your selfish ambition.
Let it not turn callous,
like the rebellious one
let it not become distant
by a grumbling tongue.

On the sea of doubt,
I have learned to be
fearless as the waves
come crashing over me.
For, I know to be strong,
even when I’m frightened
my grip on Jesus . . .
must remain tightened.
On the sea of worry,
I have learned to be
not so overwhelmed
by what I cannot see.
For, I know to be brave,
even when I’m terrified
my eyes on Jesus . . .
musn’t be cast aside.
The lessons on the seas,

White-knuckled faith,
holds on tightly to fear
has a hard time . . .
getting trust into gear.
It becomes panicky,
when danger is met
rather having peace
it knows only how to fret.
White-knuckled faith,
struggles often with hope
has a hard time . . .
knowing just how to cope.
It’s filled with the dread,
that scares and terrifies
over every concern
it panics and agonizes.
White-knuckled faith,
can be only cured
if into fear’s snare. . .
it stops being lured!

Faith rises,
atop the waves
for our Savior
we know will save.
Then when life,
comes crashing down
in troubles waters
we will not drown.
Faith swells,
in the surges
where hope in God
onward urges.
Then when challenges,
are all surrounding
our confidence
will keep abounding.
Faith rises,
above the swirling swells
it comes from where . . .
the Holy Spirit dwells!

I have God’s power,
it’s right inside of me
it blesses me with faith
for things I can’t see.
It dissipates the doubt,
evaporates the fear
it allows me to believe
my God is always near.
I have God’s power,
He gave it to me the day
when to His Son . . .
I gave my heart away.
It lifted the darkness,
revealing His True Light
giving me the ability
to trust in His holy might.

to believe without seeing

I felt the trap,
of anxiety
set a snare
on my sanity.
The conditions,
were just ripe
that at my heart
it took a swipe.
I took the bait,
ran away with it
then fell into
a nervous snit.
It took some time,
for me to see
this isn’t where
God wants me.
So I sent my own trap,
for anxiety . . .
now with God’s love
fear had no priority!

let the power of God
