God’s plans for you,
are yours to discover . . .
they’re found in your Bible
from cover to cover.
A future of hope,
for you He has in store
once you open to Him
your seeking heart’s door.
Your life He will guide,
when you seek Him first
He’ll satisfy your needs
your hunger and thirst.
Once to Him you commit,
your steps He will guide
when directions you need
He’ll help you to decide.
God’s plans for you,
are easy to find . . .
but, first you must seek Him
with all your heart and mind!

My life isn’t about my dreams,
ambitions or desires . . .
it’s all about the faithfulness
that my Lord requires.
It’s believing in what’s right,
accepting the unseen evidence
embracing the Gospel truth
without doubt or hesitance.
It’s the certainty of my trust,
Jesus will do what He said
the confidence in knowing
by Him I will be Spirit lead.
It’s about my conviction,
to seize and embrace
the hope of my future
through the gift of His grace.
My life isn’t about my wants,
it’s about my eternal need . . .
my faithfulness only comes
as God’s Word I daily heed!

Put last year behind you,
think about it no more . . .
believe God has instead
something new to explore.
For the past is the past,
there’s nothing you can do
so don’t let it stop you
from new things to pursue.
Let God make for you a way,
to start a new beginning
and through the sea of doubt
you’ll find yourself swimming.
Then He will pave a path,
for you to go and travel on . . .
and all of your trepidation
about the future will be but gone.
Put last year behind you,
don’t you think to look back
then ask God to give to you . . .
this year the faith that you lack!

Forever Lord,
I will thank You
for all for me
you continue to do.
For the future,

for today’s strength

Sometimes into God’s word,
I quickly run and hide . . .
for I know it is a safe place
where I can securely abide.
It’s where I feel protected,
from this world in chaos
it’s there where I cling
to the foot of the cross.
Sometimes I just escape,
right into the Good Book
whenever I need to have
an eternal outlook.
For there in the scriptures,
is where I find my future hope
so when the pages I leave
in this world I can better cope.
Sometimes into God’s word,
I swiftly hide away . . .
and shield myself in the truth
so not to be lead astray!

Sometimes my Bible,
I just hold in my hands
knowing that inside of it . . .
are for me all of God’s plans.
I meditate on the verses,
that I know by heart . . .
how a future hope for me
He knew from the start.
I ponder in my mind,
just how much He loves me
how through Him I have faith
in all the things I can’t see.
I speculate on the day,
the last trump I will hear
letting me know at last
my Lord, and Savior is here.
I mull over and over,
how the gift of His grace
keeps me keeping on
in this the faithful race.
Sometimes my Bible,
in my hands I hold tight
and on God’s Word . . .
I meditate day and night!

I got me a hope,
it is living and alive
it helps me everyday
to cope and survive.
It’s an eternal hope,
full of joy and glory
for I believe in the truth
of salvation’s story.
I got me a future,
it is firm and secure
it helps me everyday
in this world to endure.
It’s a heavenly hope,
full of praise and peace
one that will never end
terminate or cease.

a future that is bright
it helps me everyday
to continue in the fight!

When I’m knee deep,
in pain and suffering . . .
it’s in my future hope
for which I’m rejoicing.
For the glory to be had,
in today’s tribulation
will come on the day
of my own resurrection.
When I’m waist high,
in my cares and concerns
it’s with patience I wait
until Jesus returns.
For I stand in the faith,
of His future coming . . .
even through my troubles
are always incoming.
When trials I experience,
when tribulation I have to face
I can do so with rejoicing . . .
because of His saving grace!

A future filled with hope,
is a future worth knowing
for out of it are rivers
of living water flowing.
It’s a future of rest,
joy and elation
found in the well of
eternal salvation.
A future filled with hope,
is a future God planed
for it has been formed
by His very own hand.
It’s a future of peace,
of what is to come
when Jesus returns
to set up His kingdom.
A future filled with hope,
is worth our pursuing
for it’s a future with God
that is all consuming!
