I cried out to God,
and He heard me
for my anguish
He could see.
He understood,
I was in need
from my misery
to be freed.
I cried out to God,
and His ears heard
the joyless words
that I slurred.
He knew I needed,
some blessed solace
for He saw my soul
was almost aweless.
I cried out to God,
He answered me
and from my distress
He set me free!

I love the Lord,
because He listens
to my prayers . . .
without conditions.
My pleas and requests,
He wants to hear
and to them always
He inclines His ear.
I love the Lord,
my voice He knows
He recognizes
its highs and lows.
My aches and pain,
He understands
my worries and cares
He too comprehends.
I love the Lord,
and for as long as I live
my prayers and pleas
to Him I will give!

I love the Lord,
He listens to me
He tells me in heaven
with Him I will be.
For He’s given to me,
the gift of His grace
a sure guarantee
I will see His face.
When I cry out,
I know He hears
only He knows how
to dry my tears.
My hope is in Him,
and in no other
for He cares for me
better than a brother.
I love the Lord,
I know He loves me
and as long as I live
in love we will be!

Every cry is heard,
by God’s loving ear
there’s not one sob
that He does not hear.
Every distressful plea,
He hears its timbre of gloom
the pitch of every prayer
He knows just from whom.
Every request for help,
to Him is loud and clear
every call for relief
echo’s in His holy ear.
Every cry of pain,
He knows why it came
every tear that falls
He sees the droplet’s frame.
Every cry is heard,
not one will He not hear
there isn’t a single sob
that doesn’t reach God’s ear!

Some people say,
God is so far away . . .
some think He doesn’t
hear them when they pray.
Some people believe,
God is always present
some think He listens
to their every lament.
Some people rely,
only on their feelings
some think God’s not fair
with them in His dealings.
Some people depend,
on their faith and trust
some think God’s always
good, fair and just.
Some people say,
Jesus is so distant
some know He is . . .
always consistent!

My God will hear me,
He will hear my cry
He will listen to me
from His throne up high.
He knows my desire,
He sees my need
my crying out to Him
nothing can impede.
My God will hear me,
He will receive my prayer
He will consider
all that I have to share.
He knows my true heart,
He sees into my mind
my entreaty to Him
will into His ears find.

to my cry He will take heed
for my God will provide . . .
to me the faith I need!
