God loves the little sparrows,
all the flowers in the fields
He loves a repentant heart
that to Him at last yields.
He loves the morning hour,
when the sun is on the rise
He loves a searching heart
that is seeking to be wise.
God loves the daily warmth,
the cool breeze in the air
He loves the burdened heart
giving to Him all its care.
God loves the evening time,
when the sun slowly sets
He loves when a hungry heart
appetites in Him are whet.
God loves the moon shinning,
the twinkling in the sky
He loves a prayerful heart
that holds a jubilant cry.
God loves His little sparrows,
His faithful lilies of the field
He loves whatever the time . . .
hearts to Him relent and yield!
