In the valley I found,
my Shepherd waiting there
to lead and to guide me . . .
how to give Him my care.
He offered me His staff,
to lean my weariness upon
He took from me my grief
gave me joy to put on.
In the midst of tragedy,
suffering, pain and loss
His rod directed me . . .
to the work on the cross.
He gave me the strength,
hope for each tomorrow
for, He took upon Himself
the pain of my sorrow.
In the valley I found,
my Shepherd waiting there
and now I have His peace
replacing my despair!

When I need to hear,
the voice of my Shepherd
I go to His Word . . .
where His reflections can be heard.
It’s so easy to recognize,
His voice as I read . . .
my soul He nourishes
as on His Word I feed.
When I need instructions,
to get me through the day
His voice always leads me . . .
to the Life, Truth and Way.
It is easy to follow,
the direction that He gives
for it guides me to where
the Holy Spirit lives.
When my Shepherd’s voice,
I need to hear and know
I go to my Bible . . .
and follow where He shows!

So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.

Jesus is my Shepherd,
His voice I do hear . . .
I follow It so to Him
I can stay close and near.
I listen for Him to tell me,
where He wants me to go
then with confidence
I let Him the way show.
I take my cues from Him,
not to wander or to stray
for by His side is indeed
the safest place to stay.
I entrust Him with my life,
for He gave His own for me
my faith in Him goes beyond
all I can and cannot see.
Jesus is my Shepherd,
His voice I listen to . . .
right now He is telling me
He wants you, to hear Him too!

The Lord is my Shepherd,
what more do I need . . .
whenever I am hungry
on His Word I feed.
He renews my spirit,
my soul He repairs
sends me into the world
knowing I’ll be prepared.
The Lord is my Shepherd,
I trust Him to guide . . .
and give me the strength
to keep up with His stride.
Through times are troubled,
I have nothing to fear
for I know my Lord
will always be near.
The Lord is my Shepherd,
I have all that I need . . .
He steady’s my feet
so to His ways I’ll heed.

Let the truth guide you,
let it lead your way . . .
so on the narrow path
you’ll continue to stay.
For, without the truth,
there are only lies
causing you to take
your eyes off the prize.
Let the truth be your rule,
let it be your banner
so into the straight gate
you’ll be able to enter.
For, without the truth,
satan will try to deceive
making you doubt
everything you believe.
Let the truth guide you,
let it direct you too
listen and follow . .
Jesus’ voice in you!

Oh, My little flock
you’ve nothing to fear
for I’ve promised you
I would always be near.
You see I’ve a kingdom,
I want to lead you to
and I know you need Me
to direct and guide you.
Oh, my little flock,
you’ll need to be resilient
to My prodding
you mustn’t be indifferent.
For it is My intention,
and brings Me great pleasure
to take you to where you’ll find
your eternal treasure.

The world is a wilderness,
with strange and eerie places
and I could not travel in it . . .
without Jesus and His graces.
I know I would get lost,
in the darkness in front of me
for, without His saving light
the wickedness I’d not see.
The world is a wilderness,
with dark and scary pathways
and I would stumble on them
if Jesus wasn’t with me always.
For, I would not be able to see,
the clear and present danger
of following after those . . .
who were to Him a stranger.
The world is a wilderness,
I need to navigate through
tis why I keep my Shepherd
and His flock in my view!

to go forth like sheep,
and guided them in the
wilderness like a flock.”

If the Lord is your Shepherd,
then nothing you will lack
you’ll have nothing to fear
He’ll always have your back.
He’ll guide you in the valley,
lead you to the mountain top
He’ll show you where to go
warn you when you to stop.
If the Lord is your Shepherd,
you’ll have a place to rest
for, to your every need
He’ll be constantly abreast.
He’ll daily provide you,
with power and grace
to His truth and His ways
your heart will embrace.
If the Lord is your Shepherd,
He’ll refine and restore
so that you will always find
your way back to His door.
He’ll renew you each day,
with joy and in His love
by raining down on you
His mercy from above.
If the Lord is your Shepherd,
you’ll always have a retreat
for, He will be your refuge . . .
until the day that you meet!
