Who can fully comprehend,
God’s love that is world-wide
who can grasp the call . . .
to come and be His bride?
Who can fully understand,
a love that is without end
who can figure out
having a eternal Friend?
Who can fully embrace,
love going into eternity
who can stretch their hearts
into this place of serenity?
Who can fully fathom,
love reaching deep within
who can see the real need
for forgiveness of their sin?
Who can fully comprehend,
the love God has for everyone?
Only those who can grasp it . . .
are the ones who love His Son!

Be of good courage.
be glad exceedingly

Lord, help me to be,
content no matter what
so that I don’t get stuck
in disappointment’s rut.
Let me learn to accept,
things as they are
whether to me they be
above or under par.
Lord, help me to be,
whatever the situation
content with it all
regardless of the affliction.
Let me learn to receive,
what to me You may send
knowing that someday
this too shall end.
Lord, help me to be,
at peace and content
in knowing what comes . . .

Take a cup of Forgiveness,
stir in some of God’s grace
then fold it into your heart
and this recipe you’ll embrace.
But, you’ll need to keep adding,
more ingredients as you go
if you plan on having a year
where Love can rise and grow.
You’re going to need Patience,
at least a cup or two . . .
if you want to have Meekness
bubbling up inside of you.
You’ll need to slowly blend in,
a heaping spoonful of Goodness
then beat it into the mixture
so you can whip up Gentleness.
Don’t forget to add a pinch of Joy,
and as you whisk it into Peace
add a dollop of Faith and Trust
and Hope you will release.
If you live in the Spirit,
you’ll need to walk in it too . . .
and if you follow this recipe
it’ll produce His fruit in you!

to everyone you know . . .
fill it with Love and affection
until it begins to overflow.
Pack it with a bunch of Peace,
put into it some Tenderness
don’t forget to stock it with . . .
a whole lot of Gentleness.
Be sure to add some Faith,
Temperance and Patience
when you mix it all together . . .
it’ll release a pleasing fragrance.
Place into it Self-Control.
pile on high a lot of Meekness
top it off with endless Joy . . .
for a basket full of Goodness.
This year make up a fruit basket,
then pass it all around
tell others of the hope . . .
that in Jesus you have found!

Tis the season
to be jolly . . . .
but don’t get caught
up in all the folly.
For, it’s not about,
the jingle bells
or dashing off
to all the sales.
It’s about Immanuel,
the virgin Babe born
so long ago
one early morn.
It’s not about,
the office party
or if Santa
will be tardy.
It’s about God’s love,
shinning from afar
it’s about His promise
of Jacob’s Star.
It’s not about,
the food we buy
or if we’ll make
some kind of pie.
It’s about the hope
that Jesus brings
it’s about His glory
that the angels sing.
It’s not about,
the presents we get
or the gifts we buy
putting us into debt.
It’s about Jesus’ Life,
His Truth, His Way . . .
it’s about salvation gift
we celebrate the day.

for God being to us

When you feel down,
whenever sad and blue
I’ve a dose of medicine

In the valley I found,
my Shepherd waiting there

Like the refreshing dew,
outside my window pane
the Word of God falls on me
like a gentle soothing rain.
There is a serene peace,
cascading over me
calming looming storms

words of eternal life
flowing with the Good News
the answer to my strife.
My heart begins to soar,

the more the Holy Spirit’s

When for strength,
I am in want . . .
due to the fears
that my soul haunt.

I put my God before me,
I let Him lead my way
I know I can trust Him

When the fruit of the Spirit,
starts producing in you
love and joy will be seen
in all that you say and do.
From there they will bring,
peace and forbearance
that will last you until . . .
Jesus’ next appearance.
When the fruit of the Spirit,
produces in you gentleness
it will give rise to more faith
in all of God’s goodness.
From there it will grow,
meekness and temperance
so people will see in you . . .
a Jesus resemblance.
When the fruit of the Spirit,

there will be no law against
the things in you it can do!

The closer I’m to the Lord,
the more I feel His peace
as the burdens on my soul
onto Him I release.
The closer I’m to my Shepherd,
the more I know His will
as to green valleys He leads me
to learn to wait and be still.
The closer I’m to Jesus,
the more of His grace I find
as the worries on my heart
no longer play on my mind.
The closer I’m to my Savior,
the more I know I’m blessed
for the nearer I’m to Him
the more I have perfect rest.

there is no other place

I wait on the Lord,
as I silently pray
I expect He will send
new mercies to my day.

Somewhere down deep,
when a struggle is going on
to God’s waters living
my spirit gets drawn.
It is there where I find,
peace that is calming
the kind that leaves me
for Jesus wanting.
Somewhere down deep,
I hear God’s beckoning
to find His springs living
when with fear I’m wrestling.
It is there He tells me,
not to be dismayed
for with Him I need not

When my mind is calm,
when it is at rest
when it feels as if . . .
it cannot be stressed.
Lord, it’s only because,
it is stayed on You

I pray for world peace,
the cease to all conflict
so war will no longer
pain and suffering inflict.
I pray for all the hate,
to be replaced with love
so all the violence
we’d finally be rid of.

would stop being hostile

There are no rules against,
producing good fruit
there is no incarceration
for letting them take root.
For we are free to grow,
love, joy and peace
so having more patience
in us can increase.
There’s are no rules against,
the fruit of the Spirit
there’ll be no arrests made
or eternal demerits.
For we are unrestricted,
in showing others gentleness
as we are being guided
by the Spirit of His goodness.
There are no laws against,
faith and meekness growing

The fruit of love,
we all need to grow
and in our lives
we must let it show.
For without love,
being constantly produce
the life of Christ
we cannot reproduce.
The fruit of love,
we all need to release
then with our enemies
we will seek peace.
For without love,
we hold on to grudges
and instead become
their juries and judges.
The fruit of love,
we need to cultivate
so that forgiveness
we can germinate!
