Lord, we need a revival,
a head bobbing, banner raising
hand clapping, foot stomping
Holy Spirit filled revival.
Lord we need an awakening,
a gospel preaching, heart turning
sin repenting, life changing
Holy Spirit filled awakening.
Lord we need a quickening,
a daily living, life-long giving
fruit bearing, love sharing
Holy Spirit filled quickening.
Lord, we need a renewal,
a world reaching, grace saving
thirst quenching, mind drenching
Holy Spirit filled renewal.
Lord, we need a revival,
a roof raising, earthshaking
God-fearing, soul saving
Holy Spirit filled revival!

I love when God sends,
Autumn’s first refreshing rain
to wash away the grime . . .
on my soul’s windowpane.
It helps me to see,
how over summer’s busy break
the dryness that’s within . . .
and the changes I need to make.
I study the dust settling,
atop my old, trusty Bible
shaking it off I am ready
for a Holy Spirit revival.
The showers bring about,
a renewal in my heart
restoring my faith and hope
before winter’s chilly start.
I love when God sends,
Autumn’s first refreshing rain
so in my heart and soul . . .
Jesus can settle in again!

In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord . . .
put their trust in You.
For, the season of Spring,
is a time for cleansing
a time for heavy hearts
to do some purging.
In the Spring of life,
there comes a newness
for those who Lord . . .
soak in all of Your goodness.
For, the season of Spring,
is a time for renewing
a time for weary souls
to receive their healing.
In the Spring of life,
all things become new
for those who Lord . . .
give their heart’s to You!

If only I could change,
the path man is on . . .
to life-giving waters
everyone would be drawn.
I’d show them the way,
to true and lasting peace
comes if man’s pride . . .
finally were to cease.
I’d tell them humbleness,
is not a sign of weakness
but a gesture expressing
without God, we’re helpless.
I’d ask each and everyone,
to put all malice aside
so in their very hearts . . .
His Spirit could abide.
I’d lead them to Jesus,
who is waiting to heal . . .
each deed of bitterness
every act of ill-will.
But, I cannot do so,
all I can do is pray . . .
for revival in our land
today and every day!

Oh Lord, move me closer,
move me ever near . . .
this is the only thing
I want for the New Year.
I want a soul revival,
kicking off the new start
I want You to saturate
every inch of my heart.
I want to soak in,
all of Your goodness
I want to walk with You
on the path of holiness.
I want to be full,
of Your mercy and grace
I want to every moment
seek Your righteous face.
Oh Lord, move me closer
move me to You near . . .
so I may be fruitful
all throughout the year!

I love when God sends,
Fall’s first refreshing rain

Let us return to our First Love,
into the arms of everlasting grace
let our steps be healed and restored
let us earnestly seek God’s face.
Let us repent from our sins,
examine ourselves in His light
let us return to our First Love
with all our soul and might.
Let us turn to the Word of God,
for our path and instruction
let us return to our First Love
for the Way and true direction.
Let us lift our hearts and minds,
give unto God our very soul
let us return to our First Love
so we can once again be whole!
