Oh, to know Your goodness,
Your holiness and grace
to have within my very reach
Your strength to embrace.
Then I shall never doubt,
or fall into dreaded fear
then I shall know what it’s like
to have You always near.
Oh, to understand Your anger,
Your judgments and Your wrath
to seize upon the truth
that leads to Your holy path.
Then I’d mount up on wings,
and like an eagle I’d fly and soar
then I would take off to heaven
and enter thru salvation’s door.
Oh, to find Your perfect rest,
from the weariness deep within
to find Your calm that settles me
when my life is in a tailspin.

Tis the season
to be jolly . . . .
but don’t get caught
up in all the folly.
For, it’s not about,
the jingle bells
or dashing off
to all the sales.
It’s about Immanuel,
the virgin Babe born
so long ago
one early morn.
It’s not about,
the office party
or if Santa
will be tardy.
It’s about God’s love,
shinning from afar
it’s about His promise
of Jacob’s Star.
It’s not about,
the food we buy
or if we’ll make
some kind of pie.
It’s about the hope
that Jesus brings
it’s about His glory
that the angels sing.
It’s not about,
the presents we get
or the gifts we buy
putting us into debt.
It’s about Jesus’ Life,
His Truth, His Way . . .
it’s about salvation gift
we celebrate the day.
Tis the season,
to be grateful . . .
for God being to us
true and faithful!

Oh, my Lord, my God,
my heart is filled with gladness
so I’ll sing my song of gratitude
for Your everlasting kindness.
With thanksgiving and praise,
I lift my voice to You and sing
as I’m so very grateful for . . .
the joyfulness to me You bring.
I will bless Your holy name,
for the mercies You bestow
may my song of adoration . . .
be to You a pleasing bellow.
For, I can’t keep it to myself,

With all of my flaws,
where sin hit its mark

My confidence is in the Lord,
for I know He cares for me
I place my hope in Him
not in the things I can see.
He protects and shelters me,
in His goodness with His grace
whatever life might bring me
I know together we can face.
I know I can count on Him,
for wisdom and for some rest
for He knows what I need
always want’s for me the best.
He guides and directs me,
always leading the way
He is the first and last one
I seek be it night or day.
I am so very happy,
for in the Lord I have peace
His compassion never fails me

Once I was blind,
myself, was all I could see
until the day I heard . . .
Jesus had died for me.
He opened my eyes,
made me look at my sin
and a spiritual revelation
took place within.
Once I was deaf,
I was unable to hear
until the day I heard Jesus . . .
wanted me to come near.
He spoke to me,
through His Word
now I’m enlightened
by the truth I’ve heard.
Once I was dumb,
I couldn’t understand
until the day I heard Jesus . . .
had for me eternity’s plan.
He showed me the path,
lit the way with His light
now I totally get
the power of His might.
Once I was lame,
I just stumbled about
until the day I heard Jesus . . .
would clear up my doubt.
He took these feet,
made of mire and clay
showed me how to keep them
on the straight narrow way.
Once I was dead,
too blind by sin to see
until the day I heard . . .
Jesus came to save me!

Though the nights,
be long and dreary
and your eyes

The closer I’m to the Lord,
the more I feel His peace
as the burdens on my soul
onto Him I release.
The closer I’m to my Shepherd,
the more I know His will
as to green valleys He leads me
to learn to wait and be still.
The closer I’m to Jesus,
the more of His grace I find
as the worries on my heart
no longer play on my mind.
The closer I’m to my Savior,
the more I know I’m blessed
for the nearer I’m to Him
the more I have perfect rest.

the closer He is to me . . .
there is no other place

my Savor, my Lord
when my thoughts are on You
I never get bored.

Lord, give me just a glimpse,
of how heaven’s going to be
let me peek into the room
You have reserved for me.
Let me see the streets,
paved with perfect peace
let me gaze upon the path
where grief will finally cease.

into the land of no more fear

Weaved throughout the whole Bible,
are God’s promises galore
assurances guaranteed . . .
for us to read and explore.
There are promises of hope,
for today and the future
each one an eternal pledge
to give our faith a booster.
There are promises of new life,
where not one should perish
for every soul to Him . . .
is one He’ll always cherish.
There is the promise of comfort,
the wiping away of our tears
the beginning of eternal peace
where we will have no more fears.
There are promises to supply us,
with our earthly wants and needs
to deliver us from the suffering
of our sinful acts and deeds.
Weaved throughout the Bible,
are promises to cling to . . .
for the good work God has started
He guarantees to see it through!

I’m being pruned to be,
a whole lot more like Him
God is cutting away . . .
each fruitless, useless limb.
He’s sniping away at my pride,
my smugness and my ego
so His life in mine . . .
can finally start to show.
He’s trimming each branch,
until their shaped and formed
He isn’t going to stop until . . .
in Him, I am transformed.
He’s cutting the dead wood,
clipping back what is loathed
until every new branch . . .
in Him is fully clothed.
I’m being cut and snipped,
pruned limb by limb . . .
until I resemble someone
who looks just like Him!

There is not a fear,
that Jesus can’t conquer
there is not an enemy
that He can’t capture.
There is not a problem,
that Jesus can’t solve
there is not a dilemma
that He can’t resolve.
There is not a burden,
that Jesus can’t lift
there is not a load

that Jesus can’t provide

Whenever I am afraid,
and fear comes my way
I stop what I am doing
and to Jesus I pray.
For, I don’t want my fears,
to take away my calm
so I cast all my worries
right into His open palm.
Whenever I am frightened,
scared or panic-stricken
I go straight to the Lord
before by fear I’m sickened.
For, I don’t want my fears,
to influence my serenity
for it is in my Savior . . .
that I find true tranquility.

and fear comes my way
I put my trust in Jesus . . .
to take my dread away!

Though I’m born again,
I still look the same . . .
the only difference is
I’m baptized in His name.
I know I’m still a sinner,
but, I’m trying hard not to be
and I’m sure that my faults
you still can see in me.
I’ve got a lot of changing,
that I know I need to do
but, I believe that my Savior
is doing in me something new.
I know I’m not yet perfect,
but, I’m learning every day
how to live like Jesus
by following His righteous way.
I’ve made many choices,
that I am not proud of
but, I’m counting on God mercy
and trusting in His love.
Though I am born again,
I am not without blame . . .
but, the day I accepted Jesus
He took away my shame!

The alarm has been set,
the hour is drawing near
and in these perilous days
the wake-up call is clear.
The signs are all around,
just as we’ve been told
lovers of their own selves
are getting more bold.
Just take a look around,
and tell me what you see
haters of good and God
you can no longer flee.
You can see the proud,
up and down our streets
parading in defiance
on their self-serving feet.
Children are being taught,
to choose a new gender
destroying young lives
God considers tender.
Standing on our corners,
you’ll find those begging
for you to support
their ungodly way of living.
It time to wake up,
and hear the warning bell . . .
or else life here on earth
will be become a living hell!

I wander through my mind,
go from room to room
and in each one I find

return to your state of peace
give your fears to the Lord
onto Him your anxieties release.
Revisit His loving kindness,

One day all of our sorrows,
will be a thought of no more
when from ashes into beauty
we enter through heaven’s door.
The brokenhearted will see,
their painful grief bound up
their mourning will be silenced
by the oil of joy in His cup.
He will raise the soul penitent,
from their fallen, sinful state
the poor in spirit He’ll elevate
all the way to heaven’s gate.
He’ll set the remorseful free,
from the chains of their sin
as the yoke of guilt and shame
no longer chokes from within.
All those who have made Jesus,
the Lord and Master of their life
will not be punished or condemned
nor be damned for their past strife.
He’ll comfort all who’ve mourned,

Faith is what we hope in,
it’s what we cannot see
it’s when we trust Jesus
to calm the storms at sea.
It’s a touch of His hem,
it’s knowing He will heal
it’s confident and it’s sure
all His promises He’ll fulfill.
It’s firm and unquestioning,
it’s strong and never weak
it’s alive and it dwells
in the hearts that are meek.
It’s believing that God can,
it’s knowing that He will
it’s trusting in His timing
that keeps the heart still.
Faith is what we hope in,

The battle with the enemy
will be easier to beat . . .
if we put our trust in Jesus
and leave the battle at His feet.
For we must go to Him,
and give to Him the fight
so He can lead us onward
in the power of His might.
As the battle continues,
He’ll be our strength and Rock
protecting our front and back
until the devil starts to balk.
He will provide for us a refuge,
a fortress and a safe place
He will defend and deliver us
put a hedge around our base.
The battle with the enemy,
will be easier to beat
if we just let Jesus . . .
lead us to a sound defeat!

When you’re feeling dreary,
when you’re sad and blue
look up into the heavens
your hope will shine through.
For, when we focus in on,
our destiny that’s above
our despair will turn to joy
in the light of eternal love.
Where you’re feeling lonely,
when you are all alone

envision God’s holy throne.

Forgiveness divine,

it’s Good Friday
I’m so grateful
for this one day.
For my Savior,

the pain, the shame

Every good and perfect gift,
is given out of love . . .
creation, salvation, election
comes from God above.
He rewards the faithful,
with the Bread of Life
