If God should look into,
the window of your soul . . .
will He see a loving heart
or spot an empty hole?
As He peers into the glass,
smeared with the streaks of sin
will He see His strength inside
or find weakness deep within?
As He peeks into the cracks,
of a broken windowpane
will He see delight and joy
or sight the shattered pain?
As He pulls away the curtain,
and unveils the hidden man
will He see a life close to Him
or will there be an empty span?
If God should look into,
the window of your soul . . .
will He see a heart of flesh
or will it be stony cold?

Encourage me today Lord,
lead me with Your hand
hold me up and lift me
in faith help me to stand.
Be my quiet confidence,
the whisper in my soul
let Your Spirit sustain me
till in You I am whole.
Be my heart’s inspiration,
move and arouse my trust
motivate and inspire me
as my life to You I adjust.
Be the voice in my head,
the calm that ever stills
give me words of comfort
that restores and heals.
Encourage me today Lord,
as I seek to do Your will . . .
teach me to have the faith
when I’m too weak to be still!

When I say I am weak,
it doesn’t mean I’m not strong
it means I trust God . . .
no matter what comes along.
If I be sick and feeble,
I know He will carry me
so I’ll just keep believing
in what I cannot see.
When I say I am weak,
it doesn’t mean I am frail
it means I’ll do what it takes . . .
to stay out of the pit hell.
If I be persecuted and killed,
for how and why I believe
I know the crown of life . . .
I’ll soon thereafter receive.
When I say I am weak,
it’s for Christ’s sake I’m strong
for it brings me pleasure . . .
knowing to Him I belong!

When I am feeling faint,
when my heart is spent
early to the Lord I go . . .
and to Him I lament.
I tell Him my troubles,
I let Him know my woes
my barren soul to Him
I humbly expose.
When I am feeling weak,
when my spirit is dry
early to the Lord I go . . .
as rivers to Him I cry.
I tell Him about my needs,
I let Him know all my cares
my thoughts I give to Him
as they become my prayers.
Once I recognize,
I am in a thirst place
early to the Lord I go . . .
for another dose of grace!

Call upon God when you’re troubled,
let Him know your cares
call upon His amazing name . . .
with your pleas and prayers.
Call upon the name of the Lord,
ask Him to transform you
call upon His awesome name . . .
acknowledge all He can do.
Call upon God when you need Help,
let Him know you are weak
call upon His wonderful name . . .
let Him your life tweak.

His truth may you abide by

Dry seasons . . .
times of spiritual drought
times of agonizing doubt
times to reflect from within
times to confess known sin
times God’s voice we can’t hear
times of significant fear
times where we learn and grow
times for God’s mercy to show
times of weakness not strength
times we keep God at arm’s length
times to meditate and pray
times to hear what He’s to say
times of desperation and lack
times to turn to God back
Dry seasons . . .
times of spiritual growing
times for more of God knowing!

A thorn in the flesh,
one only I can see . . .
an affliction running
throughout all of me.
A constant reminder,
of my own weakness
a steady remembrance
of God’s goodness.
A thorn in the flesh,
making me stronger
pulling me to Jesus
even more closer.
A constant reminder,
of His great power
a changeless recalling
He’s with me every hour.
A thorn in the flesh,
causing me to seek . . .
the strength of Jesus
when I’m too weak!

God supplies the grace,
for all that we do . . .
it flows right from Him
into me and you.
He delivers His strength,
whenever we are weak
He gives extra power
when more of it we seek.
God grants us mercy,
each day it’s renewable
so we may learn to be
on Him dependable.
He builds up our faith,
regenerates our hope
He provides the means
each day for us to cope.
God supplies the grace,
we give Him back our trust
as we let His Spirit . . .
work in and through us!

Do you feel like a babe,
do you feel incomplete
does your spiritual life
seem to be bittersweet?
Well you need not be,
too worried or concerned
for deeper faith comes . . .
through lessons learned.
Does your faith feel feeble,
does it seem so weak
do you trip and stumble
over being too meek?
Well you’re not alone,
others felt this way too
and as your faith grows
it too will humble you.
Do you have lots of doubt,
do you feel stunted
does your future hope
feel as if it’s been gutted?
Well continue to trust,
and in Jesus to believe . . .
for the more you hope
the more faith you’ll receive!

Heavenly Father,
look into my heart
peel back whatever
is keeping us apart.
Reveal the layers,
of my selfish pride
remove any vanity

My heart shall not tremble,

Change me Lord,
I know that I should be . . .
a different kind of person
than the one that I call me.
Change me Lord,
there’s so much You can do
take this old life of mine
and make me someone new.
Change me Lord,
from the inside out . . .
to trust in only You
without fear or doubt.

make my heart grow true
help me to see the sin
in the things I say and do.
