Trusting in my Lord,
with each new day . . .
knowing He’ll show me
the righteous way.
Praying for wisdom,
and for guidance too
knowing He’ll show me
what I should do.
Waiting for answers,
to my requests
knowing He’ll show me
when the time is best.
Holding on to hope,
embracing His love
knowing He’ll show me
what He is made of.
Trusting in the Lord,
with all of my soul . . .
letting Him with my life
have complete control!

Deep things of God,
we all need to know
things only His Spirit
to us can show.
Then our faith will be,
not that from man
but, by the power
God holds in His hand.
Deep things of God,
we need to explore
so the Spirit can open
to us wisdom’s door.
Then He will reveal,
things we don’t know
as the mystery of God
He will begin to show.
Deep things of God,
are ours for the asking
things deeper than . . .
our own understanding!

Lord, create in me a heart,
devoted to only You . . .
take away what keeps
You from getting through.
Change what You have to,
do whatever You can
so, I may come to know
what is Your perfect plan.
Lord, give to me a heart,
full of love and affection
let it be one that shines
with You in its reflection.
Make it a heart that’s wise,
let it seek Your directions
help it to understand
the need for Your corrections.

in favor of Your pursuing
for I know You I can trust

I do not know,
what is ahead . . .
but this I do know
I won’t be mislead.
What I cannot see,
with my own eyes
those of God’s I know
will make me wise.
Though I have ears,
I can’t hear God speak
but I heed none less
when His will I seek.
I have taken note,
of His instructions
for His Word to me
is divine directions.
I don’t know what God,
has out there for me
but I know if I wait . . .

Lord, the day is now over,
the night is drawing new
I need to get some rest
so my soul You can renew.
I’m thankful just to know,
that You never doze or sleep
for, no matter what the hour
You’re there to help Your sheep.
When I am up and stirring,
You lead me along the way
when in bed and covered
You’re planning my next day.
I’m grateful for Your wisdom,
be it in the day or night
for when things start to dim
I still can see Your light.

I keep my faith simple,
in its literal sense
the Gospel of Grace
I don’t enlarge or condense.
For Jesus’ own Words,
I fully receive
I’m saved by His Grace
I completely believe
I keep my faith simple,
I don’t add to it
for I trust the wisdom
of the Holy Spirit.
For He gives to me,
insight and clarity
to see the truth
in its simplicity.
I keep my faith simple
I keep my faith pure
for Jesus’ grace . . .
is sin’s only cure!

God gave to all of us,
a spirit rational . . .
so over it we can have
absolute self-control.
A mind that is sound,
decent and reasonable
one that to His Word
is humble and teachable.
God gave to all of us,
a spirit of wisdom
one that is always
with His is in rhythm.
A mind that is cautious,
careful and guarded
one that knows to be
kind and good-hearted.
God gave to all of us,
a sound spiritual mind . . .
one that after the truth
is willing to seek and find!

The fruit of meekness,
is complaint and submissive
to the Holy Spirit’s whispers
it is never dismissive.
It is teachable,
obedient and wise
it esteems not itself
in it own eyes.
The fruit of meekness,
is never weak
for it is God’s strength
that it daily seeks.
It puts aside all evil,
to fight the good fight
for it is a doer of the word
and for Jesus is the light.

to be lead and guided

Knowing God’s will,
in His Word is found
for His instructions
is where they abound.
You’ll need wisdom,
some foresight too
to find the answers
He has just for you.
Knowing God’s will,
takes consecration
in His Word you’ll need
a firm foundation.
For you’ll need to make,
a real commitment
if you want to have
His involvement.
Knowing God’s will,
will take the guidance
of the Holy Spirit . . .
without any resistance!

Lord may Your word dwell,
deep within my heart
so I can fight off . . .

give me full protection

Lord, may I be a seeker,
a follower of Your Light
may I have the wisdom . . .
like the Magi’s did that night.
May I travel the distance,
regardless of how far
may I be willing to go
to wherever You are.
May I have the resolve,
to follow where You lead
may I have to Your will
the strength to always heed.
May I have the tenacity,
not to give up or quit
may I be to Your ways
determined to submit.
May I have the fortitude,
to journey into what is wise

Sometimes God nudges me,
to see if I am listening
to that still small voice
inside me whispering.
He wants to see if I’ll heed,
to His inaudible leading
to see if to His guidance
I’m willing to be yielding.
He applies gentle pressure,
in my heart and on my mind
to see if His plans for me
I’m willing to go and find.
He wants to see if I’ll ask,
to be by Him directed
and if by His wisdom
I’m willing to be perfected.
Sometimes God nudges me,
with whispers calm and sill
to see if I am willing . . . .
to really know His will!

When you’re not sure,
of the way to go . . .
when you need someone
the correct way to show.
Open up your ears,
to God’s divine direction
and He will lead you
to the path of perfection.
When you’re not convinced,
which way you should turn . . .
when you need to have
the wisdom to discern.
Open up your Bible,
learn to walk in it ways
and God will lead you
for the rest of your days.
When you need directions,
so you can be Spirit led
open your ears up to . . .
that small voice in your head!

I fear God for one reason,
and it’s not that I’m afraid
I fear His mighty power . . .
for, it leaves me amazed.
I stare in astonishment,
at the works of His hand
how all came together
just by His command.
I worship Him and marvel,
as I gaze out into space
in awe I stand in wonder
of His mercy and His grace.
I tremble and I shake,
my understanding fails me
for, it’s hard to comprehend
all I can and cannot see.
I fear God for one reason,
but, it’s not that I am fearful
I fear Him because I know . . .
He is mightily powerful!

A life that is gentle,
doesn’t loose it’s cool
instead it follows

For it knows to treat,
others with respect
has a Light bearing
impact and affect.
An easy-going soul,
is mild and docile
for its tongue is tamed
and not judgmental.
For it knows how to be,
of its words in control
for the Spirit of God
lives in its very own soul.
A life that is gentle,
is one that is tactful
it doesn’t get even . . .
for it’s a life thoughtful!
