Thought for the Day

God is sovereign and all the world is under his control. Anything that enters our life, whether it is blessing or trial, comes because the Lord has allowed it. When we encounter evil, we wonder why He does not put an end to it, because we know that He can. But God does have a purpose, and history has proven He produces good from even the ugliest of human tragedies.

It got this from a study I am doing each morning called In Touch. It is so great. I am going to try to post a thought for the day eachday from the study. Hope you all enjoy. May God truly bless your day!

Dad's Home

I know just how important Daddy's are to us mommies and kids but I dont really think I understand just HOW iimportant until he is gone awhile and then gets home. David got home yesterday around lunch and we couldn't be happier! He is only home for a short time but we take whatever we can get. The kids are like leaches on him, literally. HA This morning Hunter had school and usually I have to wake him up and it is NOT easy But NOT this morning. David got up early and went to get us all breakfast and Hunter heard the door and woke right up and was scared David was leaving. He got to snuggle in bed with me for a few minutes and then he wanted to get up. That amazed me that he woke up sooo early but it is amazing to me also how motivating Daddy being home can be to a 6 and 3 year old.

He Did It!

He is still hanging on! He actually stayed on the whole 8 seconds. He got 1st place. There were 6 mutton busters this first rodeo and Hunter was the only one to stay on till the buzzer. He did GREAT! We were so proud and excited for him. He won 72 dollars. He was very proud! There will be many many more rodeos to come. We have on almost every other saturday in Granbury.
Here Hunter is just coming out of the shoot. Priceless.

Is this not the cutest cowboy you have ever seen. Check out his new chaps he got for Christmas. Are they Snazy or what?

This is him again really pulling his rope getting it ready. He is serious! HA

This is Hunter getting his rope ready to ride. He puts some sticky stuff on it and rubbs his glove up and down it to get his rope and his glove VERY sticky so he can hold on better.

Brave Girl Part 2

Well Sydnee just keeps showing her bravery. First the hedgehog and now a breathing treatment machine. She got bronchitis on Friday and we were out of town so we couldnt get a machine so we finally got in to Dr. Wiley yesterday and got a breathing machine and it works wonders. She just with 4 treatments is amazingly better. Thank God for that! She tries to fight me on doing it sometimes but ends up doing it wonderfully. She is really a Brave Girl.

Brave Girl

This is so funny. We got Hunter a hedgehog for his 6th birthday back in July. He wanted somekind of animal from the pet store so we settled on a hedgehog(I'm not real sure why). It is very very sharp quills but such a cute face and they told us that as long as we got it out and handled it and let it get some exercise that it would grow up being somewhat friendly. Well we did good for a few months and then started slacking and now noone can handle him at all except my brave little girl, Sydnee. Dont get me wrong, the whole time she trys to pick him up he is hissing and making all kinds of awful noises but she is scared at all. It cracks me up. You can see in the picture above that she is dressed like somewhat of a princess and got her gloves on so she can pick sticker up. She is the only one with the patience to handle him while he is throwing his fits. I dont know what we are going to do with this thing. I dont forsee us keeping it forever. Does anyone want it?

Pictures from Christmas

Aren't these chaps going to look fantastic on Hunter. He will wear them in three weeks in his first rodeo of 2008!

The picture above was taken at David's aunt's house on the lake. They have a fantastic place and my kids love going there. I liked this picture because it shows Hunter really does love his sister. HA

Are these faces not the cutest you have ever seen. I love the silly pictures.

The above picuture really makes Hunter look grown up. Oh how I wish he wouldn't grow up!

BRRR, it was cold at the lake!

More pictures to come.
