Thanks For Helping Me Grow

Hello Friends, I am back today with more from April Clubs from Spellbinders. This time, I am using the All Clubs Crate Bonus item-Market Jar Trio. I am a huge pickle lover, are you? I pretty much will eat just about any kind, but my favorites are Sweet Gherkins and Bread and Butter. Who knew that, along with eating pickles, making a pickle jar out of paper could be just as satisfying!😆

Card Details: To make my jar, I backed it with a piece of white cardstock, then a piece of vellum. Then came the pickles, and finally a piece of plastic packaging to make it look like glass. The pickles were inked for dimension, and the sentiment is from Yana’s Bouquet of Hugs Sentiments which I thought worked perfectly. The little flowers are from the Pink Lemonade Stand and Tags set. The striped paper is from SU, and I think it was made for this card.

Cardstock: Spellbinders-Chiffon, Sicily, Fern, Peridot, White, and Gold Treasured Cardstock. Also-Vellum, and clear packaging.

Club Info: The new Club subscription sign-up window is from the 6th to the 27th of the month.  After existing club members’ subscriptions have been processed, any inventory remaining will be available for new subscriptions. Continuing Subscriptions will be charged on the 5th of each month, which means existing Club Members can cancel subscriptions or make edits to payment or shipping info up until the 4th of each month.

I am going to link up once again with my friend, Darnell over at NBUS, as this Pickle jar is new!

Hope you enjoyed my pickle jar. I also hope you have a great day and weekend ahead! Nanc’

Pansies-Small Die of the Month

Hello Friends, Isn’t this year flying by already? I can’t believe we are in April already! Since it is the beginning of the month, I am here to share what I made using April’s Small Die of the Month from Spellbinders. The die set is called Pansy Seed Company, and it is just as pretty as can be.

A Few Card Details: I used last month’s Stripe Right to make my strips on the bottom. Leaving out the spaces in the middle for the white base to show through. The sentiment can be found in the Fancy Sentiment Strips BP and was foiled in gold. The pot was cut out of a piece of Rose Gold Treasured Cardstock with a matte finish. Cardtock Colors: White, Rainforest, Cosmic Sky, Cascade, Windy, and Carrot. The little bits of bright yellow was a piece of scrap that I had and I used orange ink on the lighter petal of the orange Pansy. The DSP, I believe, is from Stampin Up.

I am linking up with my friend Darnell, over at NBUS, since this is my first time using this Pansy die set.

Fuchsia and Navy

Hello Friends, Happy April 1st to you! I do not have any pranks for you today, but I am sure that hubby has something up his sleeve, so I’d better be on my game today. Since it is the beginning of the month, it must be time for the next hues of colors at Color Hues. I am the host of this challenge, so you can either thank me or blame me for this color pairing. LOL I certainly hope you are thanking me.

While we were in Arizona a couple of weeks ago, I saw Bougainvilleas blooming everywhere, and I knew when I got back home, they would be blooming in our area too. It is my favorite flower, but sadly, we do not have any in our yard. Hubby is not keen on the thorns. My point is, they inspired me to create today’s card! This stamp and layering stencils are from Altenew. The sentiment is from Spellbinders. I started out with the intention of making a one-layer card, and you can see that is not where I ended up.

**** When I made this card, I had no idea the sentiment was no longer available. Sigh. It is one of my favs.

Let me know if you have any questions about this card. I think it is pretty self-explanatory. The only thing I will add is that I like the look of inking part of the sentiment, and it’s something I do often.

Now, I hope you will come by Color Hues and check out the amazing cards by my Design Team and play along. We would love to have you!

Take care, Nanc’

Some Days Just Call for a Margaritas

Hello Friends, I promise this is my last card using the fabulous sandwich board from the Simple Stories Pink Lemonade Collection from Spellbinders. Since I made this card about a month ago, I have since thought of at least two other ideas. However, I have to move on to April products, and I am sure you are also ready for me to move on as well. 😆

I think this Margarita glass from the Sip Sip Ole set was made for this board.

Hubby’s Birthday…58+12

Hello Friends, As promised, I am back with more using the Simple Stories Pink Lemonade Collection from Spellbinders. This time, I want to share with you the birthday card I made for my Hubby’s milestone birthday.

A little story about my hubby to explain why the card says 58+12. When my hubby was teaching middle school, and his birthday would roll around, the students would ask how old he was. He always replied with a math problem to make them work for it. Sadly, oftentimes they would still get it wrong. 😝 Well, he still does it to this day, to just about anyone who asks. So I had to incorporate it onto his birthday card. I also had to make it golf-themed, as that is how we spent his 70th birthday in Arizona. We have never had so much fun golfing with the family, and I could share many more funny stories with you. He says it was the best day he has ever had!

A Few Card Details: The smaller sentiments I made on my computer. The golf silhouette, clubs, and golf balls are from Stampin Up. The OMG is from the Aged to Perfection Collection, the larger sentiment is from the Birthday Laughs Sentiments, and Pink Lemonade Stand are all from Spellbinders. I have linked what I can below.

Add a Tag

Hello Friends, It’s the last Thursday of the Month and time for the next Topping at Seize the Birthday. Jules is our wonderful hostess, and she wants us to add a tag to our cards.

I have used some leftover pieces that I had lying on my desk to put some of this card together, and I have listed and then linked what I can below. The main products I used are the Altenew Houseplants, the February Spellbinders EF, and the MFT tag.

Wishing a Birthday that Blooms…

Hello Friends, I hope your day is going well. I am back with another card from Yana’s Tulips Collection. For this card, I am using the Tulip Die and the Bouquet of Hugs Sentiments.

The Tulip Die is part of the I Want it All Bundle, and it appears to be sold out. That was not the case when I made this card, but I can certainly understand why it is so popular.

A Few Card Details: The text print in the background is a scrap of DSP I found in my stash. The sentiment was foiled in pink. I used the Bow and Bell Scallop Frame and some of my favorite Colorwheel Cardstock and Silver Assortment Cardstock. The only thing that took a bit of time was inlaying the colors back into the tulips. A few tiny silver hearts to finish it off.

I also have another new product to share with you today. Spellbinders came out with the perfect Locking Storage Compartment that I certainly needed. It was like they knew that all of my gems and sequins were just a hot mess. I have a before-and-after pic for you below.

After:

I am very pleased with how much better and easier this will be. Not to mention, it is so aesthetically pleasing to the eye.

Thanks for dropping by today, and I hope you find some time to be creative this week or perhaps organize your supplies too. I sometimes think I enjoy that as much as card making. Take care, Nanc’

I Pick You

Hello Friends, I am back with more from the Simple Stories Pink Lemonade Collection from Spelbinders. I am having such a great time with this Pink Lemonade Stand that I have two more cards to share after this one. I’m not sure I succeeded in making this look like the lemon tree branches were hanging down from a tree, but that was the look I was going for. 😝

I don’t think the card needs any explanation. I did some ink blending on all my fruit and lemonade. Used some Foam Squares for dimension. The sentiment comes in the Pink Lemonade Stand and Tags set. I think this set I will continue to reach for often, as the possibilities are endless.

I will see you very soon! In the meantime, take care! Nanc’

Windmills and Tulips

Hello Friends, I am back again today with more using the gorgeous new release called Yana’s Tulips from Spellbinders. Lucky for me, I still have cards to share, as I have had zero time to craft yet. Today, I am using the Windmills and Tulips Press and Stencil Bundle along with the Bouquet of Hugs Sentiments. I also incorporated the Bow and Bell Scallop Frame set in my design.

I first foiled the image and sentiment in Pink Foil before stenciling. This stenciling was super easy to use.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the last card I made using another part of this release? Well, on that card, I also raised the center panel, and I liked the look, so I did it again. Here is that card, below.
