Hello everyone and welcome to June – happy summer! Today’s project works with the monthly Scor-Pal Challenge..
Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. This month we are going with a Masculine them. Along with the theme you will need to make “More Than One Score” and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won’t count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will. Also we love to see your “Anything But a Card” projects, just as long as you make “More Than One Score”
We have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to get you eager to enter.
I used my Scor-Pal, Scor-Tape and some dies to make the box. You can find the Scor-Pal here, and Scor-Tape here.
Since this project has a masculine theme I went with darker colors. I started with a piece of brown cardstock measuring 10.5″ square. I scored it all sides at each 1/2 inch.
To make the box I cut at the 3.5 inch mark – see below. If you’ve done boxes this is pretty standard.
Then I taped the sides to make the actual box using Scor-tape.
For the top, the process is the same, only I used a piece of paper measuring 6.5 ” square and scored at each 1/2 inch. Then I marked with a white pencil where to make my cuts – which were at 1.5″. Now……I realized after I added all the embellishments on the top of the box that I really did not need to score at each 1/2 inch, so if you want you can just score at 1.5″ all around.
Make your cuts and tape the ends.
To finish it off I added some coordinating paper to the sides of the top and added die cuts to the top.
Thanks for stopping by today!

This is such a lovely box. It reminds me of my dog – Lucky.
Lots of love from Isia xx
