Here is a quick and easy way to keep a few photo memories you may have for fall. Maybe you took some pictures at a pumpkin patch, or have some from Halloween. Take a few of your favorites and put it in a simple photo book.
This is an accordion style booklet. I took 2 pieces of cardstock measuring 4 x 12.
Using my Scor-Pal I scored each of the pieces at the 3″ mark, then attached the ends together to make one longer strip.
Once the inside was done l added a ribbon to the front and attached a cover to it – note..leave the end of the ribbon unattached so that you can open up the booklet all the way.
The front was made with some scrapbook paper and orange rhinestones. I was able to find the perfect orange and yellow ribbon in my stash.

This is the start of a new month and it comes with a new challenge over at the Scor-Pal blog. This month is Gift Packaging, or Anything Goes.
We love showing our projects to you and now it’s your chance to show your creations to us! This month we want to see your “Gift Packaging” or “Anything Goes” creations. We would love for you to follow to follow the theme, but if you don’t want to you can do an “Anything Goes” creation as long as it follows the general rules Each month we will have a different theme and you will have a month to create and enter your projects. As well as the theme you will need to make “More Than One Score” and tell us where you used the Scor-Pal on your project. So a single fold card won’t count but an Easel, Gatefold, Stair Step, etc will. Also we love to see your “Anything But a Card” projects, just as long as you make “More Than One Score” We have a ton of inspiration on our Projects on the Scor-Pal website and also on our Pinterest Board to get you eager to enter.
I chose the Anything Goes category and made a mini Gratitude Journal – using the Scor-Envi. By creating two envelopes I made the front and back cover of the journal. Here is how I made it.
I started by using the Scor-Envi template – which can be found here. When placed on the Scor-pal the Scor-Envi allows you to place the paper at an angle and provides the measurements and scoring guides for you to make the envelope. The Scor-Pal can be found here.
For this journal I used the measurement guide and cut a sheet of patterned paper 8.75″ square and placed it up against the scor-envi.
Then I scored at 3.25 and 8.75, rotated the paper once and did the same scoring.
Once the scoring is done, you will have little triangles where the score lines intersect. You will need to cut each these out.
This is what the it will look like when each of the cuts are made.
Just fold on the score lines and make the envelope. You will need two of these – one for the front and one for the back.
The two envelopes are then attached to each other with the openings on side so it open like a book. The back envelope flap should be inserted into the front envelope.
Then attach the flap on the back with scor-tape.
Once you have the front and back covers of the journal you can add pages to it. I simply cut some copy paper down to size and scored in the middle.
From here I placed the pages inside the journal – I held them in place with paper clips and punched two holes – one towards the top and one towards the bottom. I threaded some gingham ribbon through the holes to hold the pages together.
From this point on it is just a matter of how you want to decorate and embellish the front.
All the patterned paper used here came from a scrapbook pad called Spiced Pumpkin that I picked up at JoAnn’s last year.

I was a bit productive yesterday and ended up making four fall themed cards.
I used similar materials in the cards – Desert Storm cardstock, Distress inks in Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick colors, leaf dies from Spellbinders, Sizzix, and Cherry Lynn, a woodgrain stamp from Papertrey and some sentiments from an old TPC Studios set.
Here is how it started. I took the Distress inks and smooshed them on some watercolor paper.
I then spritzed water on the inks
I swished the water around to blend the inks. Once dry, I then added another layer of ink and water, just to get the blend I wanted. This is how it ended up:
I then took a variety of leaf dies and cut them out. I was not sure which ones I would use, so I just did a random selection:
Then it was just a matter of designing and putting together the cards. Here is a closer look at each one:
This one uses an embossed background behind a stitched cutout frame.
This one has the center cut out, with a stamped woodgrain background, speckled with some distress ink.
This card uses a stitched rounded rectangle, again with the woodgrain background with some leaf stamps with the die cut on the front.
For the final card I cut out a tag shape, stamped with the woodgrain background and added the oak leaf dies on top. The base card has some leaves stamped in versamark, along with a excess piece of the paper that was covered with the distress inks.
Are the leaves starting to turn in your area? I live in Florida and although some of the trees have leaves that turn, it is nothing like the splendor north of us. Here is a card I made to celebrate the beautiful colors of fall.
I stamped the image – which is a Maple Leaf Background stamp from Peddlers Pack (I am not sure if they are in business anymore) with versamark ink and embossed it with fine detail black embossing powder. I then used several distress inks and sponged the ink over the image – mainly using Scattered Straw, Spiced Marmalade and Fired Brick. I used an Memento green ink in smaller places.
The sentiment is from Papertrey. Everything was mounted on some mustard colored cardstock.

This months theme is either BIrthday or Family Celebration (Thanksgiving/Christmas). The challenge is to make a card or other project that includes more than one score and fits with the theme. I decided to do a birthday card with a autumn theme. My scoring was done on patterned paper in a somewhat box plaid design.
Generally I don’t do any fancy scoring on patterned paper, but it works so well here. My simplified version of the box plaid starts with single scores every inch. Then I rotated the paper and did a set of two score lines 1/8 inch apart, with the set being one inch apart from each other. Here is a look at my version in white – you can see the pattern a little better.
Hello stampers..welcome to Octber! We are now officially in the holiday season as we count down to Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Today I have a clean and simple autumn card.
I created this using the Penny black stamp called Softly and it’s coordinating stencil, along with memento inks. The simple lines on this stamp lend it to almost any occasion.
I started by stamping the image with black ink.
Then I placed the matching stencil over the stamped image and sponged on two shades of green ink, lightest first, over the leaves and stems.
Once that was done I sponged three colors of yellow/orange over the flower portions.
I die cut a smaller piece and did the same thing. A sentiment from Papertrey was used on this front panel.
Hello crafters and happy September! Are you feeling the fall season yet? Here in Florida it is still very warm but that has not stopped me from getting into thinking about autumn.
Today I want to show you a couple of ATC cards I made for a recent swap I was in.
As you can see the theme was fall and I took advantage of the ATC size to use some of my scraps. The one with the leaf uses patterned paper for the background, a die cut tag and a leaf shape die cut from patterned paper. I ran the tag through an embossing folder to give it a bit more interest. A few rhinestones add a touch of sparkle.
The second one uses a great sunflower stamp from I Brake For Stamps, (found HERE) although I covered much of it up with the sentiment which is from an old Cloud 9 set.
I decided to go one step further and enclose each ATC in its own open ended vellum envelope.
I used the WRMK 123 punch board and found the dimensions to make an envelope to fit the size of each ATC. I ran the vellum through a leaf embossing folder then created the envelope, cutting off the top flap to make it open ended.
Hello stampers and welcome to Wednesday where it is my turn to host the I Brake For Stamps Blog. I have a nice fall card to show you – along with my attempt at the latest popular technique. First, the card..

Oh – this was such a great image to color up. I love using fall colors on cards – you can go very bold and bright or muted. I used copics in oranges, reds, mustardy yellows and a bunch of earth tones. If you do a fancy dinner for Thanksgiving this image would be perfect for napkin rings or on candles.
Now – the technique. The word FALL was spelled out using the Eclipse technique – which seems to be all the rage right now. It was my first attempt at this and let me give you my perspective..
I don’t own any alphabet dies, which is what is typically used to cut out the letters, so I went to my silhouette and designed the word using the Bebe Nueve font and a generic leaf cut file for the “A”.
I cut the word out of my main panel, and twice more on colored cardstock – the same color as the background mat – giving you three layers.
Then you take the three layers and glue them together…
From here you just place the letters on your card where the negative space was left.
Some pointers –
-If you have good sized alphabet dies, use them as they are probably easier to handle then going with a cut file.
-If you use a silhouette or similar machine, make your letters big enough so they are easy to handle. If I were doing my card over again I would make the letters about 1.5″ tall (they are just shy of an inch tall now) and I would make them “fatter” – which is easy to do on a silhouette.
-Use liquid glue to put the layers together – you will have a few seconds to wiggle the pieces so they are lined up nicely.
-Some people use pop dots to pop the letters up on the card, but if you are using good cardstock there is no need to do so – the three layers will be enough.

This beautiful pumpkin filled with fall foliage is called Elegant Pumpkin and can be found here.
There are many pumpkin stamps out there but the reason I LOVE this one is that it is not a jack-o-lantern, or cute, but has a nice elegance to it. Look at the luscious blooms that fill this pumpkin! Everything screams fall and this is perfect for a fall birthday or even a wedding card. It’s a really nice size too – about 3.5 x 3.75 – enough to make a statement on a card.
I enjoyed coloring this up – I used copic markers and went to town with the colors of autumn. Lots of orange, yellow and green with touches of red and brown. I found some old Basic Grey paper in shades of orange and love the bottom design – a perfect elegant pattern for this stamp.
Even though I used patterned paper and a fancy edge tag, I can see this image on a clean and simple card as well, The overall design is so nice it can stand on its own.

Hello stampers and Happy Fall! I hope you are all welcoming this beautiful season with an abundance of color! I have a very nice fall card to show you today – using a lovely stamp from I Brake For Stamps.
The image is called Acorn Wreathand can be found here. I just love wreath stamps and this one can be used in a variety of ways – fall birthday, welcome, thank you or even fall weddings.
I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with copics. I kept it a bit clean and simple, letting a strip of patterned paper and a leaf embossing folder do the work. And the colors really pop against the crisp white cardstock.
