What a mentally draining day today!

Thought the experiment conducted today was goonaa last 3 hrs max as the previous grps who did it last week just took that amt of time. 😦

Oh wells, sadly the lab ppl decided to tweak the expt slightly which just extended the expt duration….

1st try – failed

2nd try – finally got it!

I hate spinach officially! Cant they just let me succeed on my first try? B-carotene and chlorophyll… Rawr!

Thanks Mum and bro for cleaning up my room with me πŸ˜€ *muacks*

Dont like NDP rally cause of the closure of temasek carpark just for the event. Had to carry all my barang barang for a longer dist thanks to it. RAWR!

Oh wells… Made new friends/neighbours and even met ‘long lost’ friends in the hall coincidentally after a long long long time. HAHA =D

Gonna represent TH Block B for road relay on Fri.

Go Go! Block B. =D

Exhausted after a week!

Personally felt that I have done quite a bit of readings and revisions these few days. Good Job!

Waking up at 5.30 just for lessons at 8am is certainly no joke. Esp when the day ends at 6 pm too.  Mon/Thurs = killer days. 😦

TGIF in 1 hr time. Cant wait for it… =D

Shifting in to Temasek Hall during the weekends. Woohoo! The National Day Rally at NUS UCC better not cause any delays to my moving in. Happy Happy!

Wow, finally 5 days have passed. Waiting for you to be back. For now, i’ll go back toΒ  my studies once again πŸ˜€

Focus Focus Focus!

Posted: August 25, 2010 in Life experiences

Have told myself to concentrate on studies once uni starts as its the major transition period in my life.

Its no joke when I havent touched books/notes for 2 yr 9 mths and now, gotta take a pen and write down whatever is impt during lectures.

Expectations are high and im trying my best to recall everything i can. Sometimes, I just feel totally lost in the lecture. Never once had i felt this lost before. Luckily, things are getting better as sch days go by.

I believe I’ll conquer you totally one day.

Nonetheless, theres something still wavering in my heart which I hope to hold on to.

A bit more.

Back to sch on a Sat today. Totally depressing to wake up early in a weekend morning!

Planned to go to Temasek Hall to take a look at my room today since I was in sch anyway. Once again, disappointed when i realised hall office was closed! Sad!

Well, at least Science library was open for me to print and photostat notes. First time photostating notes in sch, dunno how to do it.Β  Luckily the auntie was patient in teaching me how to do it. Really appreciate it πŸ˜€

Couldn’t wait to get outta sch once lecture ended. Met a friend for lunch before chilling out together.

Opportunity cost of meeting friend = missing out time to study. Studies?? Take it slowly. haha.

We passed by a playground with swings. How long havent I played it already? Reminiscence of childhood days. At least I could still swing quite well while my friend needed some assistance. HEEHEE. Buck up!

Well, the joy of meeting really pays the pangs of absence. See you soon πŸ˜€

To stay happy always!

Sometimes we just feel irritated and annoyed and just wish to be alone…

Hate that feeling.

Even worse, when people including close friends/relatives talk to you then , we just brush them off with an attitude, not even bothering abt their feelings. Guilt comes in after that.

Emotions are just weird. They come and go.

Wanna stay happy always! πŸ˜€

Just for YOU…

The Paradox of Choice

Posted: August 12, 2010 in Life experiences

Came across a book titled as above few weeks ago.

Talked to friends about it and found that it was kinda interesting.

Having a choice seems like a privilege, seems like a good thing to have. However, does having no choice really suck?

When we have a choice, we tend to consider both the pros and cons of each of the choices that we have. Weighing them will let you make a proper choice. However, give this a thought – what if both choices appeal to you at the same time? It just causes a massive headache, doesn’t it?

By contrast, if we have no choice, we just have to make do with whatever we have. Though it may seem depressing at first if the choice provided is not appealing, we will just take it as we have no choice! we would get used to it soon. Is this a psychological effect thats apparent in all humans?

OK. I was thinking abt all these cause of the tutorials that i have to slot in my timetable. Flexibility in the timetable just gave me more headaches. Shld i put this tutorial on mon morning or tues afternoon. What a waste of brain cells. Sometimes i just wish the timetable is planned out totally for us. No choice!

Im sure the paradox of choice applies to the many of u out there too. You wanna have a choice but dont wanna have a choice sometimes as well.

Aren’t we complicated? Haha

Perhaps this counts as a preview towards Step-Up 3D?

The movie wasn’t that fantastic nor extremely boring. Plot-wise,Β  dance movies usually revolve around the sameΒ  story. Dance competitions, rehearsal grounds, relationships, etc

Personally felt that ballet and street dance were not properly synchronised in the movie though. Still preferred Step Up if we compare the final performances.

Nonetheless, the dance moves were still captivating and refreshing. Even though im not a street dance enthusiast, i still enjoyed certain parts of the movies, esp the dances. It just makes ppl go ‘ Wa! Nice!’ sometimes.

Catch it if you got the time =)
