I’ve been blogging about my love for nature, various hobbies and adventures with my husband E.A.Wicklund since 2007. There are gaps in between when the tide of life brought me to share my stories and photographs through other forms of social media but I always return to blogging.

My childhood summers were spent visiting my grandparents and enjoying the countryside. I loved running up the hills, picking siriguelas along the way and seeing rice paddies for miles. I can still remember scenes of rice, mangoes and coconut harvesting as if it were yesterday. Those were simple joys, moments that continuously bring peace and appreciation in my life. Looking back, I wish I had a camera then and captured those moments and magnificent vistas.
Nowadays, I always carry my camera with me in case an opportunity to photograph comes up. I won’t see miles of rice paddies for awhile, until I visit my hometown again but there would be an equally breathtaking view that I could capture and store not only in my mind but also in photographs. Then I’ll be able to show you beautiful views or moments I’ve witnessed not only through words but also through images.

I’m a Registered Nurse married to a wonderful man. I’m also a child at heart and will always be. Being childish is a different matter. I believe that you make your own happiness and it’s really up to you to see the beauty of everyday living.
I became a serious birder in 2013 and my enthusiasm convinced hubby to become one too. We’ve lived in Austin since 2012 and Texas Hill Country is a haven for birders. We’re also happy to know that America’s “birdiest” cities like Corpus Christi and Port Aransas are just a few hours away.
I’m also a Sci-Fi/Fantasy aficionado, digital creator, web surfer, do-it-yourself mom, occasional poet and tireless shutterbug.

I love your gorgeous photos, you have a great eye for photography! ;^)
Thanks so much. 🙂
