Moody

Occasionally I go through times where I am moody and well aware of the fact. The last few days are a prime example. I’ve become a bit of a hermit because I know that I am in a foul mood and am trying not to subject others to it. It’s a sad thing when even the people I love the most annoy me just by being. I am fully aware that it is not them, it’s me, but that doesn’t always help.

During these moody times, I also get very defensive. Anything said to me is taken in a negative way and I am quick to let you know just what I think. And probably not in the best way. Which is not a good thing in my job.

So in the interest of not offending any of you, I’m keeping my thoughts to myself until I’m in a better mood. Trust me, you would thank me if you knew the kind of stuff going through my head. 🙂

Check It Out!

So you all know that this past weekend we were privileged to have Matt Maher come lead music at some of our Masses.  He brought along a wonderful lady, Audrey Assad.

Her voice is amazing. My sister, brother-in-law and I came to the conclusion that her voice reminds us of Sheryl Crow. Not only is she a talented musician, but she is one of the nicest people I’ve met.

So go Check Her Out! You can find her on facebook, myspace, her blog, and twitter.

On another note…I had a great weekend with my sister and brother-in-law. We rocked out to some tobyMac, hung out with Matt & Audrey, and discovered our inner mountain goat at Pilot Mountain. Pictures will come soon.

Going Nonstop…

…and no end in sight! I feel like I have been running full-throttle for weeks now. And just when I think I’m going to get a chance to slow down, something else comes up to ruin those plans. Like the fact that this guy is coming to our church this weekend. Which is also the weekend my sister and brother-in-law are in town for a concert & to visit me. (Don’t get me wrong. I love that this guy is coming to our church. I just wish it could have been a different weekend.) (Random note: to all you Third Day fans, watch the pictures on this website & you’ll see some familiar faces.)

So all that to say that, while I still have many deep-type thoughts running through my head, it may be awhile before I have time to share them here. If you’re lucky, I will try to share some pictures from the various events coming up this weekend.

At this point it looks like the soonest I will be able to slow down and rest is December 18th. That is the day I start my vacation and fly to New Mexico to spend two weeks with my family. During that time I will regress back to a spoiled girl whose mother will cater to her most of her desires; it’s great! I will also enjoy some time with my siblings, niece, and nephew. Not to mention the holidays, a family portrait session (we do a family portrait every five years and it’s about that time), and my nephew’s baptism. Plus fitting in some visits with some of my best friends. So, for those in the NM area, I fly into El Paso December 18th and fly back out January 2nd.

The few NC locals who read this, I’d love to see you, too. But the best chance is for you to come follow me at work one evening. If nothing else, it’ll be a good cardio workout.

Diving In…

So I mentioned a few weeks ago that I was considering trying to sell some of my crafty creations on Etsy. Well, I’ve jumped in with both feet and set up a shop.

I only have about seven items listed for sale so far, but hopefully will add more soonwhen I have a free weekend…as time goes on.

Since five out of my seven items are burp cloths I know most of my readers will not need those (since you all don’t have young ones at home) but I’d love for you to check the shop out and give me some feedback on how to make it more appealing. Being a newbie at all of this, I would love some other opinions on how things look and how to make it look better.

Feel free to check it out often and see what new stuff I manage to add.
