Tux Paint is a free, award-winning drawing program originally created for children ages 3 to 12, but enjoyed by all! It combines an easy-to-use interface, fun sound effects, and an encouraging cartoon mascot who guides children as they use the program. You're presented with a blank canvas and a variety of drawing tools to help them be creative. Along with paintbrush, shapes and text, Tux Paint includes a "stamp" feature to add pre-drawn or photographic imagery to pictures, and a set of "magic tools" that provide filter effects (like blur, tint and waves) and interesting drawing tools (like train tracks, bubbles and grass). Tux Paint includes a collection of "starter" images, both coloring-book style and photo-realistic, and a large collections of stamps are available as a separate download. Additional content can be added by parents & teachers, or downloaded from 3rd parties. Tux Paint is available for Windows, macOS, Android, Linux, & Haiku operating systems, among others.

BirdFont is a font editor which lets you create vector graphics and export fonts in TTF, EOT and SVG format. Binary releases are available from the website.

jPicEdt is an extensible internationalized vector-based drawing editor for LaTeX and related packages (TikZ, PsTricks,...), written in Java. It is also a library of reusable high-level graphic primitives.

Whyteboard is a painting whiteboard application for Linux and Windows, that allows the annotation of PDF and PostScript documents, and image files with common drawing tools.

Why do Archicad and Revit only share 30 or 40% of the global architectural sofware market ? Maybe because lots of small practices find these software unadapted to the way they work, and to their bank account. I think there's place for an open software that doesn't work like the existing. It will be simple in its tools and processes, and will have infinite capabilities. This will be possible by defining a logical structure. As I am an architect, and I know very little about programming, and wouldn't reach even in 10 years the necessary level to be able to write anything useful for this type of software, my part will be to bring ideas and coherence to this project. QCAD is an application for computer aided drafting (CAD) in two dimensions (2D). With QCAD you can create technical drawings such as plans for buildings, interiors, mechanical parts or schematics and diagrams. QCAD works on Windows, Mac OS X and many Linux and Unix Systems.

This project provides an ownCloud-app (http://apps.owncloud.com) for editing and creating SVG vector graphics in your browser. It's based on the awesome "svg-edit"-project (http://code.google.com/p/svg-edit/). Features like collaborative editing may be implemented later.
