usbpicprog is a Microchip PIC programmer with simple hardware: one PIC18F2550 and some components. It's therefore easy and cheap to build. Usbpicprog consists of 3 components: Hardware, Embedded software and a stand-alone program for Win, Mac and Linux.

EduMIPS64 (aka edumips) is a cross-platform MIPS 64 ISA simulator. It can be used to run and debug MIPS programs that are written using the MIPS64 instruction set. It supports visual debugging and lets you see what instructions do in the pipeline.

This project offers open source implementations for UNESCO/IFIP's Algol 68 (the Revised Report language). The project offers two implementations: Implementation 1 is Algol68G: a recent checkout hybrid compiler/interpreter by Marcel van der Veer, supporting arbitrary arithmetic, partial parametrisation, complex numbers, POSIX threads, GNU plotutils, GNU scientific library, curses, sound, TCP sockets, RegEx and PostgreSQL. Inplementation 2 is algol68toc, a port by Sian Mountbatten of the vintage Algol68RS (UK Defense Research Agency) compiler. The implementation emits C code.

CB2XML (CopyBook to XML) is a COBOL CopyBook to XML converter written in Java and based on the SableCC parser generator. This project includes utilities to convert an XML instance file into its COBOL copybook equivalent string buffer and vice versa. Source is now available in GitHub: https://github.com/bmTas/cb2xml

CanFestival focuses on providing an ANSI-C platform independent CANOpen stack that can be implemented as master or slave nodes on PCs, Real-time IPCs, and Microcontrollers. A WxPython based CanOpen Object Dictionary editor GUI is also provided.

Dioscuri is an x86 computer hardware emulator written in Java. It is designed by the digital preservation community to make sure that documents and programs from the past can still be accessed in the future. Dioscuri is durable and component-based.

An API for manipulating EDIF netlists in Java. We use this API to analyze netlists as a part of our FPGA reliability project. SerialPortNet is an open source serial port communication library for Microsoft .NET. It's written in c#, implements complete .NET 2.0 specifications, and is designed to allow for multiple OSes and add-on 3rd party Serial to Network adapters.

AIC (Advanced Irrigation Controller) is a computer based control system that has been initially targeted towards controlling irrigation in small to medium size gardens. As the product matures and features are added it is expected to be a fully functional controller used in large scale implementations, green houses and glass houses. AIC platform's in-dependency means it can run on both Linux or Windows XP onwards . A large range of serial boards (as well as usb boards that present as serial devices) are able to be controlled. KMTronic's USB and Serial relay boards are selectable in the configuration menu, other boards can be setup by entering their control commands. Although primarily designed for irrigation you can use AIC to control a large variety of hardware, for example lighting, heating etc It is envisaged that future implementations of AIC will incorporate rules for more complex device control.

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

This Java program calculates the SPBRG value for a given baud rate (Baudrate) and clock frequency. It comes with a graphical interface and a simple value interpretation guide. A Java Webstart file (.jnlp) is provided.

BlowfishVHDL - free fully synthesizable Blowfish encryption algorithm hardware implementation.

A collection of VIs for easier interface with basic CANopen client operations such as SDO download, SDO upload and PDO messages. Helper VIs for arbitrary mapping of dictionary objects to specific PDOs are also implemented. The project includes a quite crude implementation of the DSP 402 profile for handling motor drives in velocity and/or in position mode.

CONECT is a software to design, setup, commission and test home and building-automation systems. It will support various bus systems such as EIB.
