Open Source Performance Testing Software

BenchLab is a Web Application benchmarking framework using real web browsers.

We provide MATLAB and Verilog Models of GeAr, and previously proposed adders (ACA-I, ETAII, ACA-II and GDA) at http://sourceforge.net/projects/approxadderlib/ GeAr is a low latency Generic Accuracy Configurable Adder that provides a higher number of potential configurations compared to state-of-the-art approximate adders, thus enabling a high degree of flexibility and trade-off between performance and output quality. These MATALB and Verilog models can allow software programmer as well as hardware designers to evaluate their code and design. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first open-source library of approximate adders that facilitates reproducible comparisons and further research and development in this direction across various layers of design abstraction. This work is a result of collaborative effort between Chair for Embedded Systems (CES) at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and Vision Image and Signal Processing (VISpro) Lab at SEECS-NUST, Pakistan.

SWARD (System for Weapon Allocation Research and Development) is a testbed for benchmarking weapon allocation algorithms against each other. It is intended for researchers within operations research, information fusion, and related areas.

An open-source desktop application for load/performance testing a web site. It has a very simple UI to configure the load test. The future plan includes transaction support, record, playback and support for load injector agents.

Tool for testing Web Map Services. It allows to run general random tests of WMS and test based on user-like behaviour.

Coarrays are native Fortran means for SPMD parallel programming. At runtime multiple copies of the executable (called images) are executing asynchronously. The F2008 standard provides coarray syntax, remote calls, coarray data objects, allocatable coarrays, syncronisation, atomics, etc. F2018 adds new functionality, e.g. collectives, teams, events, more atomics. Coarrays are used extensively in CASUP library for HPC (https://cgpack.sourceforge.io). The course is aimed at experienced Fortran users. Working knowledge of Fortran is assumed. The course is designed for a 1 day study with an instructor. Multiple exercises with full solutions are accompanied by notes. This course is taught to the University of Bristol HPC users. Exercises have been verified with Intel and GCC/OpenCoarrays. All course materials are released under BSD license. We welcome contributions, provided you are happy to release your work under BSD license. We welcome comments and problem reports.

jLlama is a desktop application to monitor servers over SSH. Any figure retrieved from the command line can be polled and graphed in real time. Out of the box, jLlama can graph CPU and Memory usage for Linux and Solaris servers.
