The Battle for Wesnoth is a Free, turn-based tactical strategy game with a high fantasy theme, featuring both single-player, and online/hotseat multiplayer combat. Fight a desperate battle to reclaim the throne of Wesnoth, or take hand in any number of other adventures.

FreeCol is a turn-based strategy game based on the old game Colonization, and similar to Civilization. The objective of the game is to create an independent nation. You start with only a few colonists defying the stormy seas in their search for new land. Will you guide them on the Colonization of a New World? Scidb is an open-source chess database application for Windows, Unix/Linux. It is a new development inspired by Scid.

Round based, noninteractive, ai-scriptable strategic game. Players can make ai-scripts for vehicles (tank, jeep...), and the system play the game with scripts. AI-script can write in JavaScript. The game has a pure functional graphics.
