The videotrans project is a set of scripts that converts a movie file in any format that mplayer understands (AVI, etc) to a DVD compatible VOB file, including all the necessary conversions. Further, an automatic DVD menu generator is provided.

Advanced shell script for encoding DVDs, Blu-rays or video files to the H.264 format using the encoding utility MEncoder from the MPlayer project. HRip is another DVD backup tool for Linux operating systems using vobcopy, ffmpeg, x264 and lame. HRipMod is an extended version with more parameters, but still *very* easy with the integrated help. Multi-languages. AVi, MKV, M4V container.
