Hello ScoreBoardServer's Friends and Users,
After version 1.3 has been cancelled, now 2.0 is released. There are only minor additions to 1.2 which round up the roadmap's aim to provide "Enhanced Features" in 2.0. These have already been implemented and published in versions 1.1 and 1.2.
The only addition is:
- Add Hot-Keys for Number-Pad Control
Currently I am already working on version 2.1. This version "Rich set of games" will contain a tennis mode. I suppose the counting rules for tennis are the most complex ones somebody could come up with. ;-)
Nevertheless, implementing this complex counting mode is very demanding and also time consuming.... read more
Hello,
I have to announce that version 1.3 "Pre-Setting Counters" has been removed from the roadmap. The reason is a dis-balance between effort and benefits which caused a lack of motivation.
Up to now I could not figure out a realistic case for this feature. It could be useful if the server crashes while running a match. Then the previous counter values could be re-entered quickly. Luckily the ScoreBoardServer has never crashed yet during a game. :)... read more
Hello ScoreBoardServer's Friends and Users,
this is yet another release. I am happy having finished it. This time it took a bit longer because I had little time to spend in the past few weeks. Also today my SVN client, which I use for the release process, suddenly turned out to be too old... :-/ But as you can see, version 1.2 is successfully published now anyway. The following change log reveals what has been achieved since 1.1.... read more

Now this is really the first BETA version of ScoreBoardServer. I am happy that the application reached this state.
I invite everybody to give it a try and send me feedback. For this purpose I set up a questionnaire, see http://scoreboardsrv.wiki.sourceforge.net/V1.0_Beta_Questionnaire
In the next couple of weeks I will try to find some skilled beta testers. With their feedback I will be able to give ScoreBoardServer 1.0 the final polish. So expect it in a few weeks.... read more

Cleanup, Refactoring
* Add JavaDoc description for utils package
* Don't decide controller mode from HTTP parameters but from URL path
* Remove cyclic dependencies from packages
* Create component that creates URL, GET and/or POST parameters from command/mode. Use in template
Please give it a try and click around a bit. I am very grateful for any feedback.
As documented in http://scoreboardsrv.wiki.sourceforge.net/Roadmap I am planning to do a bit of cleanup and refactoring (and probably bug-fixes) before the first major release 1.0 is published. ... read more

Hello all,
This release adds useful functionality:
- undoing write actions
- writing a game protocol to console
Use the undo functionality if you accidentally klicked on the wrong link or the judge changed a decision. ;-)
On the server you can see what happens by watching the game protocol. If you like, you can pipe the output to a file for keeping the details of an important game.
Please check it out. And as always: your feedback is warmly welcomed.... read more
