Voxx Speech Recognition Project News

Development is going well.
We have some very talented people working on the project, and we could still use more.

We've decided to go the road without CVS. The project is near completion and a versioning system will just complicate stuff and add to the learning curve.

All the tasks have been setup and we're finally ready to start!

We have plenty of help, and so progress should be pretty fast and relatively simple.

Developers may also view code in:
aapicode/
sapicode/
voxxcode/

Only the developer in charge of merging code submited by other team members can commit changes to

voxxcode/

Hi folks,
Will and Chris are still waiting to be contacted by our developers.

The plan:
Our CVS repository will have the following a directory for unmerged code (where most developers will be posting small, easy modules)

and one for merged code (with limited permisions to the rest of us): where our merger will err...merge the code into a cohesive whole. :-)

We'll also have a couple more directories with sample code in case anyone should need it. But most of the tasks will be easy and should be no more than a weekend job at the most.... read more

We have decided on the development path we're taking. (black box approach) and the first task has been setup.

Watch out for alot more tomorrow

The source currently in our CVS is being updated and organized so work can start on development. Developers can still work on their specific tasks, which will be integrated into the main source as soon as possible.

The project tasks are still being organized in the most efficient way possible. We will try and have them running by wednesday July 7th

Work has began on setting up the project roadmap, and should be set up as divisible tasks by Monday July 5th, after which actual coding for Voxx Version 5 should begin.

We are currently recruiting VB coders to help us with the work. Please contact us to join our team.

The Voxx Open Source Website (ver .9) was released today, and is now operational @ http://voxxopensource.sourceforge.net
