The LaTeX project maintains and develops the LaTeX typesetting system. In a separate article we provide a more detailed description of what we aim to achieve and how you can help us to achieve the project goals. Some older reports from the early days of the project (mainly of historical interest) are available from the Comprehensive TeX Archive Network (CTAN) as ltx3pub. The repository contains development material for expl3. This includes not only code to be developed into the expl3 kernel, but also a variety of test, documentation and more experimental material. All of this code works on top of LaTeX2e.
Features
- Code forms the expl3 kernel and all stable code
- Code for backend (driver) level interfaces across the expl3 codebase; none of this code has public interfaces, and so no distinction is made between stable and experimental code
- Potential replacements for existing modules
- Documentation available
- Code to be developed into the expl3 kernel
- Test, documentation and more experimental material
