What is CoSort? IRI CoSort® is a fast, affordable, and easy-to-use sort/merge/report utility, and a full-featured data transformation and preparation package. The world's first sort product off the mainframe, CoSort continues to deliver maximum price-performance and functional versatility for the manipulation and blending of big data sources. CoSort also powers the IRI Voracity data management platform and many third-party tools. What does CoSort do? CoSort runs multi-threaded sort/merge jobs AND many other high-volume (big data) manipulations separately, or in combination. It can also cleanse, mask, convert, and report at the same time. Self-documenting 4GL scripts supported in Eclipse™ help you speed or leave legacy: sort, ETL and BI tools; COBOL and SQL programs, plus Hadoop, Perl, Python, and other batch jobs. Use CoSort to sort, join, aggregate, and load 2-20X faster than data wrangling and BI tools, 10x faster than SQL transforms, and 6x faster than most ETL tools.

Stop relying on confidential production data. Masked data may not be realistic or robust enough either. IRI RowGen uses your metadata and business rules to make better test data. Persistent or virtual test sets improve DB/ETL prototypes and speed DevOps. Use the high quality, high volume database, file, report or DataVault targets you create and populate with RowGen's graphical job wizards in in the IRI Workbench IDE (built on Eclipse) to stress-test and future-proof new software and systems. RowGen lets you customize data formats, volumes, ranges, distributions, and other properties on the fly or with re-usable rules that support major goals like application testing and subsetting. RowGen uses the IRI CoSort engine to deliver the fastest generation, transformation, and bulk-load movement of big test data on the market. IRI FieldShield® is powerful and affordable data discovery and masking software for PII in structured and semi-structured sources, big and small. Use FieldShield utilities in Eclipse to profile, search and mask data at rest (static data masking), and the FieldShield SDK to mask (or unmask) data in motion (dynamic data masking). Classify PII centrally, find it globally, and mask it consistently. Preserve realism and referential integrity via encryption, pseudonymization, redaction, and other rules for production and test environments. Delete, deliver, or anonymize data subject to DPA, FERPA, GDPR, GLBA, HIPAA, PCI, POPI, SOX, etc. Verify compliance via human- and machine-readable search reports, job audit logs, and re-identification risk scores. The IRI Data Manager suite bundles the tools you need for faster data manipulation and movement: 1) CoSort makes light work of big data processing "heavy lifts" in DW ETL, BI/analytics, DB loads, sort/merge offload, etc. 2) FACT dumps very large database (VLDB) tables in parallel to flat files for ETL, DB migration, reorg, and archive. 3) NextForm performs and speeds file and table conversion, remapping, DB replication, data re-formatting, and federation. 4) RowGen subsets DBs or synthesizes structurally and referentially correct test data in tables, files, and reports. IRI FACT™ (Fast Extract) rapidly unloads large tables to external files using DB-native APIs, SQL SELECT syntax, and a choice of split (parallel) query methods. Unlike other database unload methods (e.g., Oracle data pump), FACT creates portable flat files. Your 'dump-table-to-file' data is thus quickly available for any purpose, including: reorgs, transforms, pre-load sorting, migrations, change and summary reporting, ETL, replication, testing, and protection. If you also use the IRI Voracity platform or IRI CoSort product, you can use their core SortCL program to perform or accelerate all these post-extraction steps at once. But you do not have to use SortCL; i.e., once the data are in flat files, you can do anything you want with them. FACT's extract performance is second to none. Using superior connection protocols, parallel hints and queries, and a variety of other proprietary techniques, FACT's unload rate is much faster than database spool or export functions.
