Analytiks is a cloud-based traffic-counting solution that helps stores, shopping malls, stadiums, and entertainment venues understand the flow of people throughout their spaces. Built atop the Cisco Meraki camera infrastructure, Analytiks enables real-time monitoring of store occupancy, providing insights through in-store points of interest (POI), zone labeling, heat mapping, and more. It offers features such as multi-entrance and exit detection, real-time occupancy counts, web-based portal access, API feeds, free Wi-Fi access via Cisco, and CRM integration. Users can receive SMS or email alerts when a venue reaches a critical occupancy point, allowing for immediate action. Analytiks ensures privacy compliance by performing people detection on the edge using code generated by Meraki's cameras, meaning video feeds remain on-premise and no personal information is collected. Instead, randomly generated object IDs and metadata are analyzed and displayed on a web-based dashboard.

Tests show video people counting achieves over 98% accuracy. This is how it's done anonymously. Overhead closed-circuit television camera, or IP camera, tracks people's movements. The camera connects to a people counter which accurately detects and records how many people pass through the counting zone. The people counters send back data over Wi-Fi, Internet, IoT, IP, Ethernet, RS485 or RS232. Counts can be combined with live sales data in a POS database, giving real-time sales conversion figures. Wide entrances and areas are handled by linking several cameras across the ceiling. The embedded video server lets you view live video footage alongside the people counts, so you can accurately verify, and configure, the system over the internet. Once set up, counts alone can be sent over the network to save bandwidth. Replay counting videos for off-site commissioning.
