About UR Browser
Websites load faster without the ads, trackers and cookies that can weigh pages down. Protect your privacy with a powerful suite of tools that give you control over who sees your data online. Browse safer with alerts for dangerous websites, automatic HTTPS redirect and a built-in virus scanner. Depending on the website you are on, you may need a higher or lower level of privacy. Discover the three levels of privacy found in the Privacy Suite, and the features found within each one. You can change your level of privacy and save your preferences for specific websites. This way, your website will always load in the privacy level you chose. By default, UR browser's medium and high profiles will automatically block annoying and disruptive ads like pop-ups, video ads, and banner ads. Occasionally, you may see some ads that aren’t disruptive. These ads help support and encourage content creators.

"A good alternative BUT" Posted 2024-06-02
Pros: Better Privacy than Chrome.
Fast and no issues browsing any websites.
Light on Memory usage so doesn't cause lag.Cons: Extensions are rarely allowed any more, which is a nail in the coffin for this browser.
Overall: A really good browser with simple settings and the right ones turned on.

Once a good alternative but lack of compatible store apps is its downfall. -

"UR browser---terrible" Posted 2022-10-02
Pros: It looks like other Chromium based browsers. There are absolutely no other redeeming qualities about this browser.
Cons: It doesn't behave like other Chromium based browsers. Very difficult to use. I wanted to give it zero stars, but I cannot do that on this site.
Overall: I had to give up using it after it wouldn't let me set things the way I like them. It wouldn't let me visit certain sites or would render them poorly. It kept visiting sites that my antivirus did not like. Is this browser really malware? Seems so.
