The image depicts a green patterned couch with floral embellishments. The couch is in a room with wood flooring and a wood paneled wall with two doors. A woman is lying on the couch; the woman wears purple stockings and green striped flats. Her eyes are closed, and she rests her head on her arm on one of the arms of the sofa. Tammy was taking a nap, and when she woke up (or so she thought), she found herself wearing a gingham green-checked dress with purple stockings and green striped flat shoes. She was lying on a green-checked couch, and on top of her lay a huge journal, which she was either reading or looking at pictures. She was completely confused about the whole thing. She didn’t even recognize the room. What happened? Did she take narcotics? Did someone try to drug her?

Rodney and his group of friends were headed out to start their camping trip. They were headed to an area with regular trees and lush green leaves, while his best friend, James, was on a trip to the tropical areas known for palm trees. Both groups were excited and planned to write reports on their trips, detailing what they saw and did, and how they survived. What did they eat and how did they cook it? It was a lot of work for a group of teenage boys. Each group had six boys and one adult in charge.

Each group made it back to where they started and drove back to their home state of New Jersey. Rodney’s group stayed in NJ and hiked there and did their report on the trees in that state and James and his group headed to Florida and the myriad of palm trees that state had.

Each boy earned a hiking patch for completing their report on the trees in their individual state. Each report was full of color photos of each different tree they found.

The crowd watched as the fire department pulled the woman’s body out of the water in the public pool. She was partially dressed and not breathing. She was the mayor’s wife, Jackie, and the crowd was busy gawking.

They started to revive her breathing, and the crowd was growing. “Let me through, NOW!” The mayor screamed. “That’s my wife.” The crowd pulled back and let him through just as she started to choke on the water. She had started breathing again.

He cradled her in his arms, and she suddenly slapped him hard across the face. “How could you do that to me and with my sister, you bastard?”

“I didn’t mean to. She grabbed me and kissed me just as you walked in from the bedroom. You know she did that on purpose to make you mad. She’s been trying to break us up for years. Ever since I became Mayor.”

“Well, she can have you. I am tired of all of the women you have trailing you. I want you to move out of the house before I get home from the hospital and take her with you.”

“But Jackie, I love you, don’t leave me now because of your stupid sister.”

You encouraged her, or you would have gotten rid of her long ago. This is not the first time I’ve seen you kissing her, so get lost!”

The EMTs moved him out of the way and took Jackie to the hospital to be checked out. She didn’t even listen to his pleading.

Four-year-old Carrie was dragging home an old bouquet of roses she found in the trash. She wanted her mother to have them. She hadn’t noticed that she was leaving a trail of roses along the way. When she got home and noticed all the flowers were gone, she started crying.

Her mother heard her and asked her what was wrong. “Mommy, I got you some flowers, but they are all gone.”

“Carrie, it is ok, it is the thought that counts, and I love that you thought to bring me flowers. Here, let’s put this in a vase.” Her mother arranged the stems in a vase, filled it with water, and placed it on the table in a place of honor.

Roslyn pulled a stool off the porch behind her and set it up under the pay phone. She climbed up and searched for her lunch money and put in 25 cents for a local call home to her mother so she could come pick her up. She was skipping school and not sure how her mother is going to take it.

There was no answer so that solved that problem. She had to go back to school because it was too cold to stay outside and someone would turn her into the school.

Jessica was a nature lover, and she lived in the middle of a huge flower field dotted with bird feeders. In the middle of the field, on her front lawn, sat a toilet with a yellow seat. This was her fancy bird bath. The birds loved to bathe in it.

Jessica spent hours watching the bird bath and observing the various types of birds that came to bathe. She occasionally would find one of the rarer types shown in her bird book.

Sassy was hurrying to her car, when she dropped her tote bag on the ground and dumped the contents all over the parking lot. She carried too many things in her tote bag, which she took everywhere.

No one seemed to see her. She noticed the parking lot seemed empty. She quickly bent down and tried to pick up everything before someone entered the area. She had been shoplifting things at a store in the mall, and she wanted to get out of there quickly in case someone had noticed her.

What she didn’t know was that the store had cameras posted to catch footage of shoplifters, and even now, they could be posting her clip on social media. This store has caught many shoplifters this way. They no longer need to see it happen in person. If the clip is good enough, they could catch someone in action. They just post the clip and ask if anyone knows this person. The police then follow up and track down the suspect.

Sassy was one of the unlucky ones, and the posted clip showed her in full length looking toward the camera. Someone immediately contacted the number with the info of who Sassy was, and by the time she got home, she was identified and placed under arrest. She was in shock. She was still dressed in the outfit she wore to the store, and her tote bag held stock from the store that posted the video clip.

“Jason and Susan, why are the dogs dressed in Halloween costumes?”

“We want to take them out with us trick or treating tonight, Mom.”

“That is not possible. I have enough trouble keeping an eye on you two without the dogs, who don’t obey me either. No dogs!”

“Aw, Ma, please,” they begged.

“No, and that is the final answer.”

She just shook her head no as they cried and continued to beg.

“Barbara Jean, what are you doing?”

“Oh, Mom, come see. Bambi is eating snow.”

Carla ran to the window to see what Barbara Jean was talking about. It had started snowing, and a deer was sniffing at the falling snow. How cute!

Carla joined Barbara Jean at the window, and they watched the deer, and soon, other deer joined the group—one of nature’s wonders. It was an amazing sight.

Myrna and Harold stood on the King Penguin platform in a new area established outside of their normal habitat outside of Antartica and the Sub-Antarctic islands. Bahia Inutil is a new colony of King penguins that has been establishing in Tierra del Fuego. This is a one day plane trip or two day trip by ferry from Punta Arenas.

This was Myrna and Harold’s honeymoon. They wanted something new and unique and both were scientists interested in Penguins.
