Here is list of “rules” and guiding ideas. If you don’t have time to read it right now, just remember that this is an exercise to spread positivity. Don’t smile about the misfortune of others. Don’t smile in a way to excludes others. Make sure a 12 year old can read it.
To join in, write a post to share your smile and then leave a comment on this post with a link to your smile. Or, if you prefer, do a pingback to this post (pingback = have a link from your post to this one) (Note – pingbacks have been very inconsistent – please leave a comment 🙂 ). You can post any time until next Sunday evening (to be simple, I will say midnight GMT, which is 7 PM Sunday for me). Note – I am no longer compiling the smiles into a weekly post as I used to – Sorry, I do not have time.

My smile is that I am now back to writing all of my writing prompts.

My smile:
I recently went into Hospice Care. I am not ready to die yet, but things are getting worse around me. I have COPD and I smile at the Hospice Care I now receive. I get a Hospice Home Health Aide for 5 days a week for a half hour to a full hour. They provide a lot of things for me.
And I am back to writing again. I had stopped for a while.

What made you smile?
I managed to get an order for a wheelchair and I am working on a power chair rather than just a manual one. I can’t get into my daughter’s vehicles without help and since they aren’t able to get me in to their vehicle with a manual chair I need to use transportation with a wheelchair. Hopefully the manual chair will have help from the driver to get me inside. Once I have a power chair it should easier.

My smile:
I had hoped to make my smile that we had this great new cook and the food was wonderful. Didn’t happen. It is WORSE! Dinner was burned porkchops and corn. Instant potatoes that were slightly edible and way TOO much salt. We are seniors on no salt added diets. They are going to kill us.
Now, on to the actual smile. My blog cleanup is progressing quite well. I started with about 7000 posts to rewrite, repost, or delete and am down to a little less than 1500 left to go.

My smile:
I am still working on cleaning up the 2 older blogs and reorganizing and cleaning up the newest blog. It is a lot of work and there are more posts than I realized. I started with at least 7000 blog posts and am now down to about 3000 if you count the reorganization of the new blog. That is my smile for the week. I am loving the fact that I have come a long way with my writing.

My smile:
I have decided that it is time to clean up 2 old blogs. One will eventually be deleted once I go through all of the posts and the other is my first blog and I can’t delete it so it will have to remain, but won’t be updated as all my new posts go on the newest blog which is now 4 years old.
I have already gone through over 3000 posts and either deleted them completely, reposted them, or rewritten and then reposted them.I still have a thousand or more posts to go through.
And the best thing is that I am seeing a vast improvement of my writing over the 13 years I have been posting my writing.

My smile:
Several nurses and aides have come back to work here at the facility I live in. They were run off by the head of nursing at the time. She is no longer here so they are starting to come back. It is nice to see them. They were the good ones.
