World’s First Hybrid Sharks Discovered

Researchers have detected not one, not two, but 57 hybrid sharks lurking off the the coast of Australia.

Hybrid shark off the coast Australia

The University of Queensland reports that in five different spots along a 1,200 miles stretch of Australia’s eastern coastline, nearly 60 sharks that were the product of interbreeding between two separate, albeit similarly named species: common blacktip sharks and Australian blacktip sharks. Discovering just a handfull of hybrid sharks would be enough to excite ocean scientists, but what they ran across proved that the finding wasn’t just a fluke.

“To find 57 hybrids along 2000km of coastline is unprecedented,” says Dr. Jennifer Ovenden from the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries.

According to Ovenden, the need to keep up with rising ocean temperatures may have led to the rise of this new, presumably more advantageous hybrid shark varieties.

“Hybridization could enable the sharks to adapt to environmental change as the smaller Australian black tip currently favours tropical waters in the north while the larger common black tip is more abundant in sub-tropical and temperate waters along the south-eastern Australian coastline.”

The findings of a new hybrid species of shark goes to show just how versatile life can be in dealing with the ecosystem altering forces of climate change . Proving yet again that there may be no shortage of natural marvels and awesome phenomena left to be discovered.

Marine biologists say that these offspring of two genetically distinct species actually represent an extraordinary and totally unprecedented discovery in the world of sharks.

What a perfect example of evolution for all of those who can’t wrap their mind around the fact that it’s real. Physical and conscious evolution are always happening and have been forever.

Christopher Columbus Witnessed Strange Lights At Sea

From “The Life and Voyages of Christopher Columbus“:

October 11th, 1492, 10:00 PM: Christopher Columbus and Pedro Gutierrez while on the deck of the Santa Maria, 35+ miles away from land, observed “a light glimmering at a great distance.” It vanishes and reappeared several times during the night, moving up and down, “in sudden and passing gleams”. It was sighted 4 hours before land was sighted, and taken by Columbus as a sign they would soon come to land.

We know that underwater life gives off light at times and can be visible from a boat, but this light broke the waters surface and hovered around in mid air repeatedly.

The fact that it shot out of the water eliminates the “shooting-star” explanation.

When Columbus arrived the “inhabitants” eagerly came to him and asked if they were the people from the heavens? When he said no, they ignored him and told the others to come meet the people from the heavens. Weird coincidence or were the native Americans connecting the lights in the sky from the previous days with the arrival of Columbus and his men?

To top it off, all of this occurred in the “Bermuda Triangle“.

What Columbus saw was a USO (Unidentified Submerged Object). I am not implying that it was aliens. All I am saying is that Christopher Columbus saw an unidentified submerged/flying object on October 11th, 1492 at 10:00PM.

I  want to share this information with others so that they can come to their own conclusion. If you want to brush it off as nothing, go right ahead. Maybe there is a perfectly good answer for what he saw that night and if any one of my readers has an explanation or idea, please feel free to leave it in a comment!
