Another couple who found their ring in style. Bailey commissioned this engagement ring for Maddie – like all young folk he had a specific design, he used a family gem and the studio made the ring to last forever – none of this skimping on metal, taking shortcuts . . . this pic was sent with a terrific ‘thank-you’.

The design was originally initiated for a favourite Brisbane client who ventured in a different direction. Barbara kept the elements live, thinking to make them for herself . . . our (private) gem-loving Sydney client spied these and pounced, end of story.

Barbara and Sue have created this “Rolling Wrap” style ring with low convex saddle-curve oval top approx. 18mm x 25mm aligned along the finger and pavé set with 25 gems as supplied. Australian dark blue sapphire, emerald cut 1=1.29ct, round brilliant cut diamonds 2=0.32ct, old cut diamonds 8=0.48ct, round brilliant cut yellow diamonds 14=0.71ct. The integrated band sweeps from wide at top, slightly narrower at sides and wider again at back of finger, gold from their wedding ring is worked into this section. 30 year anniversary ring – fifteen gems all pavé flush set to upper half in 18ct yellow gold. Rounded profile band 10.5mm x 7.5mm height has chisel textured finish. Ceylon blue sapphires x2, yellow sapphires x4, white sapphires x2, imperial topaz x1 and diamonds x6. Band tapers to back of finger – size Q.

Wonderful clients and friends – the Ryan (extended family’s) event. Coming up in 10 days time, make a note and book a table – extensive auction planned! Louise came and selected this brooch from our own private collection. Louise also had Barbara clean and prepare a retail replacement valuation for one of her rings she is giving away to the event – a worthy cause, we wish them well.
