Earth Day Build a Garden

HAPPY EARTH DAY!
Thank you Mother Earth for giving us such beautiful and valuable things that we literally could not live without.

I just love how many cute little scenes can be made with the Whimsy Stamps NEW Build a Garden die set. For today's card I have a little blue bird watering her flower garden.

I started off by cutting out a bunch of the flowers and leaves, and the strip on the bottom from the NEW Pretty Pastels 6x6 paper pack. I just love these new papers they are more like card stock weight and have such a pretty sheen to them.

I cut out the little birdie from white card stock and sponged on blue ink and used a black marker for his eye and beak.

The watering can was cut from gray paper then sponged with black ink and I added a little white pencil here and there

I arranged the flowers and added Enamel Dots to their centers and popped up a couple with foam tape. The little birdie and watering can are also popped up on foam tape. The sentiment is from last months Paper Door kit.

I hope you like the Build a Garden card and I hope you enjoy this beautiful EARTH DAY!

NEW Hoppy Spring PAPER DOOR

The new PAPER DOOR kit Hoppy Spring came out yesterday and is hopping out the door fast!
In just the first day of its release this kit is quickly becoming one of our customer favorites,
I definitely wouldn't wait if you plan on getting it.

Everything for this card (with the exception of the grass die) is included in this month Hoppy Spring PAPER DOOR kit.

I first stamped the mini cloud background with a blue ink and adhered it to the top of a white card base.

Then I cut two layers of grass using paper from the kit and the Grass and Cloud Edger die, I adhered the larger one flat on the card and the lower one I added foam tape to the bottom and sides leaving space at the top so I could tuck in the bunny, eggs, and birdhouse.

I stamped the bunny and colored him with Copic markers. I decided to hand cut him out instead of using the matching die, then I cut off his head (yikes!) and added some foam tape on the back.

I die-cut the birdhouse and added some sponging to it and popped it up in layers with foam tape too.

Using a couple other papers from the kit I used the largest tulip die and just turned the cut-outs upside down to become eggs. If you didn't tuck them in they could also be broken eggs ;). Hmmm, maybe I should have left one turned up so it looked broken...oh well that'll be for another card.

Then for the sentiment I just cut a strip of another one of the other patterned papers from the kit (love these papers) and stamped the sentiment onto it to complete this fun Easter card.
Hope you have an EGGstra special day!
