One thing to know about Drake: he loves Toronto and loves the Toronto Raptors even more. So it shouldn't be a huge surprise that the rapper chose his favourite city and sports team to be part of the rollout for his upcoming album, Iceman.
But of all the things Drake could do to tease his upcoming album, I, for one, was not expecting him to turn his courtside seats into an art installation. The rapper unveiled his "frozen" seats during a Raptors game against the Brooklyn Nets in Toronto (which they won BTW). And while I can enjoy the pop culture moment that this is, I'm also kind of exhausted by the rollout for his album because it's been literal YEARS in the making.
After releasing his EP, 100 GIGS, in August 2024, Drake began teasing a new studio album. And in July 2025, he made an official announcement by posting a video on YouTube, which included footage of him driving an ice delivery truck around Toronto.
Fast forward to 2026, and we still don't actually know when Iceman is coming out. Drake has dropped everything but a release date, so I'm sorry, I can't get too excited.
And I'm not the only one who's had a strong reaction to this news. Fans and haters alike have flooded the internet with their reactions and opinions on Drake's latest Iceman spectacle:
