This week, Donald Trump's Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, did an interview with Good Morning America discussing Trump's Iran war, and one comment he made is backfiring in his face.
In a clip from an interview seen by over 10.4 million people, Rubio criticized the Iranian government's military spending.
"If there are people in Iran who, now, given everything that's happened, are willing to move in a different direction for their country, that would be great," Rubio said.
"Imagine in Iran that instead of spending their wealth, 'billions of dollars supporting terrorists or weapons,' had spent that money helping the people of Iran," he continued. "You'd have a much different country."
In the replies, basically everyone is saying the same thing:
"He doesn't even get the irony," Jemele Hill said.
"POV the call is coming from inside the house," another person agreed.
"USA is the only NATO ally without universal health care," this person pointed out.
And this person called out Democrats for not using Rubio's quote to their advantage:
