This book describes the Fencing System, a set of universal Boffer (foam, silicone, and plastic weapon) combat rules meant to be incorporated into live-action roleplay games (LARPs). They are called the “Fencing System” because the rules are inspired by historical fencing. They are built with the Super Simple LARP in mind and they can be used in many LARP settings.
We encourage players to modify rules to fit their group, and we will include some helpful suggestions to ease play. These rules are meant to combine elements of roleplay with team battle game rules. This book is designed to allow Game Masters (GMs) to incorporate their own lore with limited systemic interference. The Fencing System contains combat rules and basic lore but does not contain any significant world-building.
