They don’t crave it. They don’t beg for it. And they certainly don’t defile their marriage for it.
When Julia made a wish to break free from her sheltered, repressed upbringing, she never dreamed she’d be trading one set of restraints for another. She never dreamed she’d love it so much.
A whole new world. A whole new escape. A whole new addiction. It’s a heady mix of excitement and fear, and she can’t get enough.
But the higher you soar, the harder you fall.
Her sweet song of submission comes at a terrifying price. One she’ll pay for with her self-respect. Be careful what you wish for, sweet Julia.
Not all punishments are desirable.

Bree Dahlia is an unconventional romance junkie. Her stories range from lighthearted to sizzling with that satisfying happily-ever-after ending and a touch of the unexpected. She favors themes of friendship, forgiveness, and unconditional love with alpha characters and eccentric tastes.
This was really good. The relationship between Julia and Ian is so sweet. I've not ready many books that involve the BDSM aspect, but I must say that this series has surprised me quite a bit. In previous books I've read they seemed way more sadistic. This is something totally different. It's remarkably beautiful the way they interact with each other and are so aware of one another. I think what draws me most to this series so far is the trust. True trust is so hard to find anymore. I am really enjoying this series so far. Wonderfully and beautifully written.
The story was pretty much as I expected it after I got through the first chapter. Even though this is the first book I thought the ending rather abrupt.
I'm not sure of the actual time period of the story - it seems both modern day as well as historical at different times during the read. Part 1 (Teaching) was pretty HOT. Julia is quite naive where men and sexuality are concerned (as well as life in general) and wants Mr. Blackwell to teach her. This has been a real page turner and I can't wait to see what happens next. Part 2 (Training) is just as HOT as Teaching. Julia really comes into her own with Ian's love and support. Part 3 (Taming) is where I have my issues. This has a bit of deception, dishonesty, manipulation and interference thrust upon their marriage. While Ian cites Julia's strength in the book, I only saw a weak and timid little girl in the end - and that really put me off. Overall, it's not a heavy book and the eroticism is off the charts. Bree writes the intimacy incredibly well. If you are looking for a quick and sexy read without a lot of crazy story line getting in the way, this is a great one to relax into. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. Julia and Ian's story , in the begining Julia goes to Mr. Blackwell for , how do I put this , "lessons" to teach her the ways between husband and wife . I liked Julia's character, but could not for the life of me like Ian, heck I even liked Jonathan better, it's a story of Ian and Julia's life together and of a problem they faced because of her insecureties
