A day on site with our customer MAN Truck & Bus SE (TRATON GROUP), one of the world’s leading truck manufacturers! In Munich this week, our teams met for an Innovation Day to talk about what matters today and what’s coming next for trucks: modularity, efficiency, sustainability, electronics and ADAS, with ever-higher expectations around safety and user-friendliness. The day was a chance to showcase how FORVIA Seating, Interiors, Electronics and FORVIA HELLA SOE (Special Original Equipments) address these challenges, in a very concrete way. Already equipping 1 in 3 buses and trucks worldwide, FORVIA is well positioned to support manufacturers as heavy-duty mobility continues to evolve. Massage systems in cars have come a long way, becoming wellness trends. Long-distance mobility and rising demand, especially in Asia, means seating technology is entering a new phase from a luxury only detail to meeting rising expectations.

FORVIA has been awarded more than $1 billion in new and extended business acquisitions with a major European automaker. The awards include technologies from FORVIA’s Seating, Interiors, and FORVIA HELLA’s lighting business groups. They will be manufactured across seven plants in the United States and Mexico to support the automaker’s North America production operations. In South Africa, the FORVIA Foundation is proud to support a project bringing solar energy and reliable water access to two community institutions! ➡️The Khanyisa School for the visually impaired, where 70 solar panels now provide nearly a third of the school’s electricity needs. Fewer power cuts, more continuity in the classroom. ➡️Nearby, the SOS Children’s Village is also benefiting from solar power and improved water systems, helping families gain autonomy in their daily lives. Beyond the installations, students are discovering renewable energy through a science club supported by FORVIA volunteers. Congratulations to all the FORVIANs who contributed!

Decarbonized mobility is more than an engine choice. When people think about cutting emissions in cars, one idea comes up first: changing the powertrain. (Electric. Hybrid. End of story.) In fact, studies show that for many consumers, sustainability in automotive still largely equals EVs, plus a few usage habits like driving less or keeping cars longer. All of this matters. But decarbonized mobility is also about how much energy is needed to produce a vehicle, how heavy it is, how parts are designed and resource used or reused. That includes eco-design from day one, using less & lighter materials, frugal architecture, low-emission materials such as recycled and bio-based resources and products designed for circularity at end of life. All levers that lower emissions before AND after the car is driven. This is where FORVIA works, every day. Reducing CO₂ across scopes by cutting weight, lowering energy consumption, integrating recycled plastics and bio-composites through MATERI'ACT, designing interiors with up to 70 percent lower CO₂ impact, and developing repair, reuse and remanufacturing solutions that extend product life. At FORVIA, we operate in a B2B environment. But building more sustainable mobility also means engaging the entire value chain, including drivers and car buyers.
