Since October 2025, I’ve been working with Stuart Milne and Simon Fraser to guide a cohort of 25 Scottish startups on Game Space's Department for Science, Innovation and Technology funded Levelling-Up programme. On Friday 20 March 2-5pm we have a showcase event at the Abertay cyberQuarter in Dundee. If you’d like to discover new studios, meet founders, and support the next wave of games talent in Scotland, we would love to see you there: https://lnkd.in/ecPu9kkm UK Tech Cluster Group A big thanks to all of the individuals who have contributed their time and expertise and the core team members and trustees. Hey folks, I'm burnt out. I've been struggling to find the words to put this for the past little while, and struggling to accept it for even longer, but recently I've been taking on too much and it has been taking a toll. Our upcoming Dundee Games Meetup on March 6th, will be our last event for the foreseeable future. This month it will mark 3 years since I founded Hubworld Scotland and it's been a hell of a shift to pull, and I can think no more of a fitting time to see it out by having one last huge classic meetup with our classic banner that the meetup first launched with. I have had the most amazing time running Hubworld as well as being so ingrained in the local community here. It was more than I could have ever expected from a tweet about hanging out in the pub I want to thank anyone and everyone who came to any of our events, I really hope you had a good time as I did. Our team members and volunteers we had over the years, and all the companies that supported the events I especially want to thank the people who signed up to become members of the community, for believing and supporting in the organization, legitimately without your support we couldn't have made the last year what it was. For fine prints sake, there will be no more charges made for existing members, there is one last batch of XPE talks that will be dropping this weekend, then following our final event, the archive will be made public. I can't say I'll never run another industry event again in the future, but for the moment don't expect anymore through Hubworld. I've never been a fan of dragging things out, so I'd rather like to end it on a high with our last ever event going out with a bang I'm still in the industry, so still expect me to see cutting about all of the goings on in the community. It also means that I have more time to dedicate to the Glasgow Independent Games Festival too, which I couldn't be more buzzing about for this year. So don't worry it's not goodbye for good. I'm sure I'll have more things to say closer to the end time, but for now- If you are free March 6th, let's close one more pub down ❤️
