"I cloned it. I modified it. I learned from it — line by line." ~ Great work, THIRUMURUGAN A K S! 🚀
👀 I don’t like cloning projects. But I cloned one anyway. And honestly… That decision changed everything. While deep in my web dev journey— 📺 I came across one of my favorite YouTube channels: JavaScript Mastery. Most websites at that time were simple, static, flat. But this one? 🧠 A stunning 3D portfolio. With lighting, camera angles, and even email functionality. I was hooked. Not just impressed — inspired. So I did what many are afraid to admit: ✅ I cloned it. ✅ I modified it. ✅ I learned from it — line by line. 🛠️ I didn’t just copy the code. I studied the why behind every piece: Three.js → for 3D rendering Lighting & camera angles SMTP → for email triggers Component structure Mobile performance Reusable logic It became my first real portfolio. And the moment it went live, it felt like a milestone. 🌐 https://lnkd.in/gMNpi4-Z 💡 The truth is: Cloning isn't stealing. It’s studying. But only if you: Go beyond copy-paste Ask why it works Rebuild it in your way Reuse what you learned in future projects This one project taught me: 🎯 The use case of a portfolio ⚙️ How real-world email flows work 💡 What makes good UX actually feel good So no— I don’t like cloning. But I respect it. Because sometimes, the fastest way to build your own style is to walk through someone else’s… step by step. 💬 Have you ever cloned a project that taught you more than a tutorial? Drop the link below and show it proudly. No shame in starting from someone else's light — just don’t stop there. 🌟 #webdevelopment #javascriptmastery #threejs #portfolio #devjourney #frontenddev #cloningwithpurpose #buildandlearn #codingjourney #developerlife

#JavaScript Coding Challenge! 🔥 What’s the output of the code below - and why? ⬇️ const original = [{ name: 'Alice' }]; const copy = original.slice(); copy[0].name = 'Bob'; console.log(original[0].name); ---------- ⚠️ Not sure of the answer? Try it out in your console and see if you can explain what’s happening step-by-step! ---------- 💭 Think about: - Copy by reference or by value - Whether modifying the copy affects the original ---------- Master JavaScript once and for all ➡️ https://lnkd.in/gU8yurRh
