The Role We Want You For
The Project Manager at Clayco plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing multi-disciplined real estate and capital projects within the Life Sciences/Biotech/Pharmaceuticals sector. Responsible for end-to-end project management, you will collaborate seamlessly with design, preconstruction, and construction teams to ensure the flawless execution of turnkey solutions. As a key contributor to our integrated business model, you will directly manage project delivery, working alongside external engineering firms, interdisciplinary teams, estimators, and construction experts.
The Specifics of the Role
Develop and coordinate site-specific project execution plans.
Review and manage document revisions for safety and quality plans.
Manage overall project budgets, costs, schedules, procurement, and field management.
Coordinate with Trade Partners, vendors, and consultants.
Analyze and track critical milestones to maintain project schedules.
Review and approve trade partner construction proposals and pricing/scopes.
Manage Accounts Payable and review/approve final invoices and payment applications.
Work collaboratively in a matrix roles and responsibilities environment.
Conduct/support monthly internal project performance status reviews.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, process, chemical, civil/structural, or electrical engineering, or related field preferred.
6-10+ years of experience in increasingly challenging positions, preferably in a construction organization.
2-3+ years of minimum experience in management within the life sciences market.
Prior experience on projects ranging from >$5M to $75M.
Strong analytical ability and capacity to interpret data.
Comfortable with change and ambiguity, adaptable, collaborative, and a systems thinker.
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and focused on developing future leaders.
Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
