  • We know Mother’s Day can mean many things: happiness, sadness, or something in between. Whether you’re celebrating a mum, being celebrated, or dealing with complicated feelings, we’re thinking of you today 💙 Rydyn ni’n gwybod y gall Sul y Mamau olygu llawer o bethau: hapusrwydd, tristwch, neu rywbeth rhyngddynt. P’un a ydych chi’n dathlu mam, yn cael eich dathlu, neu’n wynebu teimladau cymhleth, rydyn ni’n meddwl amdanoch chi heddiw 💙

  • Many of us struggle with sleep, and that can have a huge impact on our mental health. Similarly, mental health problems can have a huge impact on our sleeping.  If you need info on the link between sleep and mental health, as well as tips on how to cope, head to our website. We have info for young people too 💙 #WorldSleepDay Mae llawer ohonom yn cael trafferth gyda chwsg, a gall hynny gael effaith enfawr ar ein hiechyd meddwl. Yn yr un modd, gall problemau iechyd meddwl gael effaith enfawr ar ein cwsg. Os oes angen gwybodaeth arnoch am y cysylltiad rhwng cwsg ac iechyd meddwl, yn ogystal ag awgrymiadau ar sut i ymdopi, ewch i'n gwefan. Mae gennym wybodaeth i bobl ifanc hefyd 💙

    • Blue text on green background: "Poor sleep leads
to worrying. Worrying leads to poor sleep. It's like your mind trying to fight itself. That's a horrible place to be."
    • Geiriau glas ar gefndir gwyrdd: "Mae methu cysgu’n gwneud i chi boeni. Mae poeni’n gwneud i chi fethu cysgu. Os ydych chi’n poeni am gysgu mae eich meddwl fel pe bai’n ymladd ag ef ei hun. Mae’n sefyllfa ofnadwy i fod ynddi."
  • Wonderful to see the young people involved in our Sort the Switch campaign recognised at the Senedd's Children, Young People and Education Committee. Their bravery and commitment to fighting for mental health is remarkable. Diolch yn fawr iawn 💙

  • ✨ Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Menywod ✨ Heddiw, rydym yn cydnabod cryfder, gwydnwch a disgleirdeb menywod ym mhobman - ac yn taflu goleuni ar yr heriau y mae llawer yn dal i'w hwynebu. Mae menywod yn cael eu heffeithio'n anghymesur gan broblemau iechyd meddwl. Gall straen emosiynol a seicolegol y perimenopos a'r menopos waethygu hyn, gyda chyfraddau hunanladdiad yn sylweddol uwch ymhlith menywod 45–55 oed - oedran nodweddiadol y cyfnod pontio i'r menopos. Mae ymwybyddiaeth yn tyfu, ond mae'r angen am gefnogaeth yn parhau. Dyna pam mae'r bartneriaeth rhwng NEATH PORT TALBOT MIND a Menopause Support Glyn-neath wedi newid bywydau. Menywod yn cefnogi menywod. A dyma pam mae Diwrnod Rhyngwladol y Menywod mor bwysig. Am ragor o wybodaeth am effaith y bartneriaeth hon, a mwy - gweler ein hadroddiad effaith blynyddol: https://lnkd.in/eGeMfzNi

  • ✨ International Women’s Day ✨ Today, we recognise the strength, resilience and brilliance of women everywhere - and shine a light on the challenges many still face. Women are disproportionately affected by mental health problems. The emotional and psychological strain of perimenopause and menopause can intensify this, with suicide rates significantly higher among women aged 45–55 - the typical age of menopausal transition. Awareness is growing, but the need for real support remains. That’s why the grassroots partnership between NEATH PORT TALBOT MIND and Menopause Support Glynneath has been life‑changing. * This is what community‑led change looks like. * This is women supporting women. * This is why International Women’s Day matters. Here’s to the women who speak up, show up and support each other - today and every day. For more on the impact of this empowering partnership, see our annual impact report: https://lnkd.in/eJ9WYMxj

  • An inspiring visit to ITV Wales! 🎥 This week we had the pleasure of welcoming colleagues from across the Mind Federation in Wales to come behind the scenes at ITV Wales for an inspirational learning and skills session. It was brilliant to see people from Brecon and District Mind, Llanelli Mind, Mind in Gwent, and NEATH PORT TALBOT MIND, along with Louis Watkins of Clear For Men, come together to explore how broadcast media works, and look at how we can strengthen our storytelling across Wales. Diolch yn fawr iawn to the wonderful team at ITV Wales - Katie Fenton, Ciara Cohen-Ennis, Georgia Herron and Richard Morgan - for hosting us and sharing their expertise, and for providing invaluable insight into the newsroom at the same time. Your generosity, warmth and enthusiasm made for a really informative session. A special mention as well to Christopher Ferrier (Llanelli Mind) and Alison Curzon (Brecon & District Mind) for bravely stepping into the hot seat for an interview with ITV Wales health correspondent Katie Fenton – who both turned out to be naturals in front of the camera! Thanks also to ITV Wales in supporting partnerships like these, which help us build confidence, skills and visibility for the vital mental health work that’s happening right now in communities across Wales.   #ITVWales #ThirdSectorWales #CharitySector #MediaTraining #SkillsDevelopment

📢 “When we invest in mental health support and when we help people when they need it most, in the way that is right for them - we can help people stay well, recover, reduce serious harms. And we also build more resilient, more cohesive, more thriving communities.” Jemima Olchawski, Executive Director of Social Impact, Mind 1 month ago, we launched, ‘Mental health is everything, everywhere, everyone’. Our Mind Federation in Wales Annual Impact Report highlights what Mind achieved across Wales in 24-25. Our launch event was a chance to celebrate this impact together, as well as to look at how we carry on improving people’s lives in the future together. 📈 Read the report: https://lnkd.in/eJ9WYMxj Mis yn ôl, fe wnaethon ni lansio, ‘Mae iechyd meddwl yn bopeth, ym mhobman, i bawb’. Mae ein Hadroddiad Effaith Blynyddol Ffederasiwn Mind yng Nghymru yn tynnu sylw at yr hyn a gyflawnodd Mind ledled Cymru yn 24-25.
