In Mahayana Buddhism, these Six Pāramitās are the virtues perfected by Bodhisattvas (and Mahayana is the path of the Bodhisattva). These Bodhisattvas are those who vow to awaken not just for themselves, but for all sentient beings. Practicing these perfections is how we walk the Bodhisattva path, step by step, with wisdom and compassion.
